    Nice find! Frontpaged & Credited.

I wonder if the comment on different content means it'll be more like the Capcom Zelda games, Oracle of Time and Oracle of Seasons. Both made using the same engine, but different stories and stuff, with the bonus if you owned and beat both you could unlock a secret final chapter.

I think 2 versions sucks balls.

In my mind it should be one game with the ability to pick either side, then when you've completed that, you can pick the other side. Multiplayer should allow you can pick which side you want.

I just think its a cheeky way to fleece more money from me.

In a way I agree, but this is the best way for them to give us two playable character sets. It wouldn't make much sense trying to save humans if you're playing as Megatron for example.

I totally disagree with you. a cartridge has a storage limit. who's to say the game isnt' big enough for two cartidges?? Gameboy color Zeldas did it and it was totally worth it.

That's a good point. However, I'm hoping that these games will actually make use of the full potential of the DS, and really fill up the cart. with detail, great sounds, and good backgrounds. Also, if this isn't in 3D, I'm going to cry.

What would be awesome would be if you play multiplayer with the save version it would be c0-op.... but if you play with 2 different versions it would be VS deathmatch

Oh and I feel all special.... on the front page and everything!

I don't play video games, but I plan to make an exception for the slew of movie stuff. Are DSs rentable from anywhere?

On the other hand, I might buy one to bring to BotCon. I hear they're all the rage there.

Yeah I wouldn't categorize that news as interesting, so much as their way of making more money. I'll stick to the Ps3/360 and PSP versions. At least the PSP's differences are all wrapped up into one little disc.

Can't wait for this! Such a great idea. Two awesome games, completely interlinked. I hopes that it plays like Oracle games as Redline mentioned. holla

Personally, I feel the more TF games they make the better. Two games doubles the flavor, and doubles the fun for my double screens!

And by the way, Squirrelcar wins the thread for this fantastic statement. :lolol

I make DS games for a living and I can tell you that it is really difficult to be able to fit enough content onto one of those cartridges and still give depth to the game. If you wanted both factions on the same cart, you would most certainly have a shallow game in the end because you would have to give up levels, characters, cinematics, etc. Unlike PC games, the cartriges for DS games are much more expensive to produce so to make any profit at all, you need to fit as much content as possible onto the smallest cart you can. It is all a balancing act.

It'd be -really- awesome if you could get the crossgame bonuses over one DS, but I doubt it. :cry

So hold on, how much more do larger carts cost than smaller ones? I mean, some games are only 4mb or so, and Resident evil and Final Fantasy 3 are around 130mb or so...

By this reasoning I can sort of see why the game is being split into two, but I would rather the publisher spend more on a larger cartridge and I just pay more for it.

That said if the TF game(s) are less than 64mb each they can officially suck my balls.

I'm surprised no one pointed out the DS has been making good use of inputing 3d rendered mini-type movies in their games. Which, of course, would also take up alot of space. Just look at Final Fantasy III for the DS for example.

While the PSP has more multimedia features the DS, the DS is much more portable with a much longer length of battery time. Carts are more easily used during gaming rather than cds. Yet they don't always carry enough storage needed.

    Different solution for different platform.

    *hugs her DS Lite*

Will be interesting to see how the touch screen will be used.
