So it looks like it has the SAME features of the HD-DVD (which they failed to point out) as well as gimmicky stuff like customizable menus, and more downloadable crap on the screen when viewing.

Would it have killed them to include turnarounds for ALL of the robots? I thought the words "Bluray" and "Definitive" meant a little more.

No? Heck, if I bought an HD-DVD player, I wouldn't be complaining at all because there is nothing new on the Bluray :p  HD-DVD Transfans got a break here.

It sounds like it was a good idea to not run out and buy a Blue Ray player. Huh.

    I can't wait for this.
I've had the PS3 since last July.
Finally upgraded from 1080i to 1080p this July.
Boy am I glad Blu-Ray won.
    Makes me feel more smarter.

While it's true it may not have anything new in the extras department, the Bluray release has TrueHD and PCM audio tracks. More than enough reason for me to double dip.

I bought a HDDVD player purely to watch Transformers in HD. Have since sold the thing. I still have the Transformers HDDVD though.

Nice, you can put it right next to your BetaMax and Laser Disk collection.

That's ok, I was "THIS" close to buying the 360's HDDVD player when they went on clearance and Transformers for less than 20 bucks, but luckily for me, they were out of the HD players. I am a very bad shopper at Frys.

    If this happens, I'll fart.

Here's the simple answer. Just as the video is compressed on DVD, the audio is also compressed to fit. Bluray allows for not only HD video but also HD audio codecs.

Hm... considering I got the special edition, and thinking of getting a PS3 (since my PS2 went kaput), should the Blu-Ray DVD be worth it?
