Great review. I know that you don't like all those extra weapons, but I have been looking for good weapons for my Alternators for a while now. These just hit the run in that regards as well, just with the weapons. The figures look stellar.

So glad I pre-ordered these last month. The MP-10 and Classics Jazz comparisons made me all sorts of excited

for the near price of ALL 6 figures of the TF club, and there is just two, I can't say I'd buy them, but they look great

Don't know how you can compare 3rd party prices to exclusive repaints prices

They are expensive, but damn IMO they blow the sub figures out of the water, it's not even close.

To be fair, after shipping and handling, the sub comes to a total of about $350 at the cheapest shipping. So, I'd say it's a fair difference.

6 repainted figures, for $300, plus a membership fee of $59 to $89 to be in the club, plus shipping, plus customs in the UK...
or 2 figures which are original and completely different to anything on the market and I don't understand the comparison?

Pretty much my sentiments. Quality over quantity. The only two TFCC figures I'm remotely interested in are Slipstream and Breakdown, and as much as I like their deco's, they're just more lazy repaints rather than originally molded figures. Apples and oranges.

I'm looking forward to posing my PP05 van bros. with PP01 Faith Leader and the rest of my Classics stuff. Hegemon and MP Grimlock will also get their time in to share with these guys. All of their tools and weapons will be parsed out to the rest of my collection (not limited to Classics; I'm curious if the buzzsaw attachments can fit on TFP/RiD Knockout's hands XD).

    I'll add some musings.

The plastic is comparable to my Giant set for the most part, and they have a nice weight to them. It has that slightly textured feel if you know what I mean.

Alt modes are slavishly G1, I'm a fan of that, you might not be. Too G1 for Classics? Nah, not in my book.

No issues out of the box. Everything intact and solid.

Be careful with the leg panels - you've seen the video and will see that there is a thin piece of plastic that the panel is attached to by balljoint -take your time, and you'll have no problems there at all.
Transformation is the fun side of complex and intuitive after a couple of run throughs.

Robot modes are gorgeous, great reimaginings of their G1 selves with a nod to the IDW designs of the 'ation days.

Bit worried about the open palmed hands not holding up to multiple weapon changes - put a tiny stress in Ironhide when I used the chrome launcher - but that's due to the chrome making the piece slightly too thick - no issues with any of the others but those open palmed designs have proved troublesome whether it be official or 3rd party figures.

Accessories are a bit over the top, particularly giving Ratchet half of the same as Ironhides, but they can be doled out to other figures. Wheeljack, Perceptor can use Ratchets tools and I have no doubt that the bazooka, sniper rifle, buzzsaws, pistols, BFGs etc etc can find a place in your collection.

All in all - good transformation, diecast heel spurs look ace, shit tons of display options and great looks in either mode.

Got to find a way to remove that "ambulance" wording on Ratchet...

I have made a follow up video after discovering something I missed and to talk about things I forgot to mention in my first video.

These look awesome, and they do look to be in scale with the classics toys. The price is high, but I may have to bite the bullet. Between these, MP Optimus and Thundercracker, and then MP Soundwave and Sideswipe, a lot of us TF fans will be hurting!

Ok I need to stop looking at these things because they're really starting to tempt me now. On another note I always thought that their wheels in vehicle mode were much too small and goofy looking, but today when I went out I saw a similar make van on the road and lo and behold the tires looked very close in size compared to these guys.

How's the plastic quality on these guys? Up to Fansproject / Maketoys / TFC level or a bit lower like Mastermind Creations plastic?
