I don't think that iGear has released any of their new product WIPs yet. And now they're adding another one to the list?

 

If this predaking makes it out next yr, I'll be all over that TF in a min.

Hope it is a scaled down Predaking. If it's good quality plastic, I'll bite.

 

I upped the brightness and contrast in Photoshop, to get a better look at the silhouette. I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. The feet are definitely new, as is the head. I only have part of a Predaking, so it's hard for me to compare everything.

 

that is predaking...you can see tantrum's bull horn sticking out...the head might be different shaped....there is no other transformer with that shadow...it is predaking.

 

I think he's saying that elements of it are not from an existing Predaking mold.

 

That's definitely a Predaking of some sort. My money's going on an articulation kit, you can see from the post that his feet aren't parallel to each other so there has to be some articulation added to the hip area to allow the legs to pivot out a bit. The head and the wings also appear to be a bit different. You can't really tell in the picture but I would hope that it has articulated hands too, although that is just pure hope on my part.

If I had to guess, I'd say it is more than likely an articulation set that replaces some/all of the easily lost pieces of the original Predaking so that it would widen the market of people who would buy it. ie: if you have all the bots that form him but don't have any of the accessories, you could buy the articulation kit and voila... complete, articulated Predaking.

 

If it's an upgrade for the G1 set, it will make it much, much bigger!

Judging from this silouette, this kit would bring a new head, new wings, probably new hands (look smaller), new waist/tights (the left hand don't reach Tantrum head, when normaly the head is at wrist level), and new feet.

 

I don't know if you can say much based on a silhouette which may or may not actually represent a physical object.

(OK, you can say "something Predaking"   )

 

So what some of you guys are saying is that you guys think you would have to own orginally Predaking already to have these add-in parts then. If this holds to be true in its a add-on kit, then it would knock me out of the race since I don't have a predaking. I am really hoping its a COMPLETE encore type predaking myself since I don't have one and really want one. But I don't hold my breath thinking that either that it would actually be one and I could have a chance to own a predaking.

 

I wonder if it might be an add-on to Botcon Razorclaw.

 

My god man, he'd be frickin' HUGE! Predaking's already a monster compared to the other G1 combiners, but you're right about the arms not lining up where the should on a G1

We need to look back at iGear's track history here. The kits they have done have been great, but not entirely all that complicated. I'm willing to bet good cash-money that this is a WST Predaking.

 

I would not mind if it was an upgrade set for G1 Predaking. As I would most likely get it. But I'd prefer it to be add ons for Botcon Razorclaw.

I like this idea, and you're right, that WOULD widen the market a bit if it was a complete accessory set for a stripped set of base figures.

But that's STILL a pretty narrow market...

DEEPLY embossed, just so there's NO chance of confusion about the IP infringement
