I dont know if I'm late to the game or not with this but I noticed iGear has their MP Conehead set priced at $322 for all 3. Given what Takara Coneheads would cost to get hear in the US, the price is almost fair. iGears use of substandard plastic (Yes I own Faith Leader) and no diecast on the pretty weak frame of the MP seeker mold has me worried though.

Odds are I will probably bite, how about you?

I read somewhere that shipping was going to be close to a hundred as well. Is that $322 with shipping?

its 322 + shipping, which is like 108$ or something last I heard. So no, I am not shelling out 430$+ for 3 imitation MP coneheads, which I am sure Hastak can do at a cheaper price at some point.

I love how they decide to charge first for a preorder from 5-6 months later, without any reviews on quality or what nots, and also 108$ shipping fees is just a killer.

No for all the good reasons: money up front by half a year, crazy shipping, etc.

I don't agree with paying such ridiculous prices for knock-offs. I mean, seriously; $430 for 3 KOs? That's just fucking hilarious.

also the problem is, them asking for the cash up front and paying with paypal, you only have so much time to file a claim i believe. i dont think paypal cares if it was a preorder or not so something to keep in mind.

i want them as well, but not at that price. i know these were inspired/copied off a radicons design which are nice as a custom, but as a more retail online release, they just got too many gun missiles hanging all over and major kibble action to me. and the heads look too squat.

Shipping cost sucks. I know robotkingdom have them for preorder to, not sure how much for there shipping never bought from them before. I don't think Tak/hasbro will ever do these and considering my non skills in customs and the price these ( the original customs went for on Ebay) this might be the only way for me to get these bad S coneheads.

I am (if I can get the money together). Call me crazy, but I just love the way these look, and even though it's a lot of money, I'll still go for it. It might come around to bite me in the ass, but that's the risk I'm willing to take.

The pre-paid pre-order had me a little worried, but I called my CC company and if I use my CC through paypal, and they decide to cut and run with my (and many other's) money. They said I'd be covered.

    So, what the hell?

I'm not going to get these but I have a question for those that are. Aren't you worried about the structural integrity of that wing joint that isn't exactly perfect even on the Hasbro versions? We have yet to see the quality of these in hands and KO's are known to not have the plastic quality of Hasbro/Takara Transformers. $322+ just seems like a big risk to take on toys with a questionable problem/risk area.

I personally would recommend people to NOT preorder it. With this poll, its clear that many people are on the fence or even saying no to this 3rd party product. So I don't think it will "sell out" anytime soon. I think a better course of action for those that wants to risk it would be to wait until stocks are thinner and/or a review is up somewhere somehow.

Its great to be risk takers always. But it doesn't mean we have to take stupid risks.

Only thing that really holds me back on these, is the cash. Although I don't think the shipped price is too terribly out of whack for 3 seekers (maybe a little high), assuming the quality is up to par, I just cannot budget that much money for my collection, especially with RTS/United, MP Rodimus, FP Rodimus and black Rodimus, etc right around the corner. If it was a different time, I may consider saving for it, but my TF purchasing power is prettywell spoken for until the next movie line.

Would love to see Takara just say screw it and rip off their (or I guess the awesome original customizers) design and stick it to igear a bit.
