Seriously, the amount of morons I've encountered in Campaign today that don't understand the responsibility of holding the repair ray is unreal. Once again I feel pressured into buying a mic, just so people will do their job properly.

It wouldn't be so annoying if it was Easy mode, but people playing Hard should know better.

That would dive me crazy too. Do they just not use it and waste a weapon slot or do they end up ditching it for another gun? That heal ray is a lifesaver (literally) when things get crazy.

 

I didn't think that you could drop the repair ray for another weapon?

 

If you have two guns when you pick up a new gun it will replace whatever is currently equipped.

 

You can drop it.
I dont use Soundwave in online co-op anymore based on how many times you can be healing teammates, they take a scratch and then swipe the energy cube you needed.
You're on 1 cube the whole time because your idiot teammate instantly goes for it then whines when you pick up another weapon so you can actually survive.

 

this is why i quit the co-op version. i just play multi team death match now and play with folks who actually heal eachother and offer the cubes to others. works better that way.

 

That's why I avoid being a scientist on any kind of online MP, I don't wanna be healing everyone the entire time without being able to pick up the weapons I want or have them getting pissed at me. I understand it helps alot though, sometimes I get irritated when a scientist doesn't heal or at least throw an energon grenade.

 

On co-op campaign I always use it. it's annoying when people without steal health cubes when I have a mic saying "I CAN HEAL YOU WITH THIS RAY IDIOT!"

Co-op with public people and a lack of mics can make any form of co-op near unbearable.

 

Interesting, I remember seeing one of the loading screens that even said that you can't drop it. How come you can't drop Prime's gun then?

 

only guns that cant be dropped is ion blaster and fusion cannon

Why they didn't include keyboard chat is beyond me. Especially when the game engine has built-in support for it. Guess I'm gonna have to buy a mic if I'm ever gonna get that wave 15 trophy.

 

I never play a healing scientist nor do I keep Soundwave's healing gun. Unless I'm going to play with friends.

 

the wave 15 trophy is simple enough on the autobot escalation level (the first one not the energon lake)

We have mics but it's not essential as long as we all kind of stay together and make rational decisions
