I'd give money to my family to help them pay off mortgage and bills, then pay off my car payment and buy a house. And if I have any leftover money I'll get toys like Deszaras and Star Saber MIB.

 

First thing I'd do is buy a nice house, pay off my car, maybe get a Viper for shits and giggles....then blow the rest on booze and hookers.

 

house,. debts. give parents and family money, and get a frikken toyota sprinter trueno mod a la initiald, a blue transam between 93- 2002 or a camaro, maybe TONS of toys- and possibly all gaming consoles in history with a gigant tv to go with them.

 

I would reinvest the money. A million dollars isn't exactly a whole lot of money these days.

 

Custom house, about 2,000 to at most 4,000 square feet, private game room with projector, marble bathroom with steam shower. Indoor greenhouse for that amazon feel. 3 car garage, about on 10 - 20 acres. Horse barn, a few horses, a large storage room for cars. A new Jaguar for my mom since she'd have that if she didn't have me. Prolly a Topkick like Ironhide for the hell of it. New SUV for my sister who recently had a baby since she has a little crappy car right now.

Yes I've thought about this.

 

Something I forgot to mention earlier, a Burton-style Batmobile.

 

Man id pay the bills man and by all the studio equipment I could get my hands on. Take a trip and chill with the rest. Sit on it.

 

And then live in it!

Me what would I buy? I'd buy/commision a Batman Begins Batmobile... a version with the proper engine (that worked as a pacecar at Nascar once) and also the hydraulic door system.

Then with the left over moeny buy a cave to put it in.

 

If i was a millionaire, first of all I'd look after various members of my family first, then start spending it on myself.

If it was only a million, I'd still look after various family members first then spend the rest on myself and what I choose.

 

Invest it and live off the interest. Now assuming a fairly conservative rate of return of 10% that's about 100K every year. In the first year Id pay off my girlfriends bills so she could move up here. Id take the 2nd and 3rd year money and pay off my condo, while using the income from my job and the remaining 90+K from year 1 to live on during years 1 - 3.

Once year 4 hits, I gasp as my portfolio takes a nose dive and reduces the 1 million dollar principal down to a $1.95.

Sticking it out, by year 7 my portfolio has grown back to $950K. In the mean time I still have my job, but as the townhouse is paid for, me expenses are low and my secondary nest egg is doing quite well.

 

If I had a million dollars (if I had a million dollars):

I would pay off the remaining $4300 of my student loan, pay off my mortgage and then sell this place and get a bigger condo, like a three-bedroom one with a bigger kitchen, and then buy a new Jeep. With the left over money, I'd invest it, maybe put it into CDs and a high-yield IRA account.

I'd buy an actual house, and get out of this crap apartment. It'd have a yard, so my daughter can play in it, and a garage, so I can keep my cars in it. I'd get rid of my junker vehicle and buy two brand new cars - one for me, one for my wife.

If just one mill, I'd invest it like MotorMaster, living off the interest rate.

If multi-milllions, I'd give a good chunck to may family, donate some to various charities, throw a huge get together for me and all my Internet and RL friends around the world, buy a real nice house, buy a lot of worthless crpa like toys and DVDs and the typical millionare stuff, and invest at least one million into high-yield account so I have something to live off of.

 

-Pay off my student loan

-Buy a nice little house in BC and one here in QC (nothing too fancy)
-Buy a new high-end mountain bike and a new high-end road bike
-A bunch of hard to find Transformers (not that many, really)

-Have my own little studio (nothing too fancy)
