if you were to combine 2 characters, who'd they be and how'd you do it?

through out history marvel and dc have found ways to in a sense "combine" their heroes, green arrow at one point wielded a green lantern power ring, Norman Osborne made the iron patriot as replacements for both captain america and iron man for his dark avengers, and colossus is the new juggernaut. so if you could combine two characters into one, who would they be and how would you do it? for me, I would make hawkeye the next ghost rider, I'd have mocking bird die in a car crash and Clint making a deal to bring her back with mephisto, hawkeye has a skycycle so that would be how he rides.

This sounds fun, but I honestly can't think of anything that tops Bizarnage or the Silver Sabertooth.

The ones that tried to be serious were pretty lousy. Spider-Boy was straight up comedy, and it was AWESOME. Bizarnage FTW.

Amalgam had some great series and some awful ones. Iron Lantern, Spiderboy, Lobo the Duck, and Bruce Wayne Agent of Shield were good.

Super Soldier and JLX were pretty good, too.

    Here's some White Lantern Mar-Vell.

Marvel vs DC had the White Witch, a fusion of the Scarlet Witch and Zatanna. I really liked her.

Man I really loved some of the Amalgam concepts.

Super Soldier, Spider-Boy, Dark Claw, Iron Lantern, Challengers of the Fantastic, great stuff!

Sure it was a bit of exploitation in the wake of the DC/Marvel crossover back then, but you can't deny they were some fun comics! You could tell some of the creators really had a ball with the Amalgams.

    combined

Combine Wolfsbane with the hulk or any werewolf with the hulk
Combine Storm with some of the feline oriented characters
Combine Raven with superheors with shadow oriented powers
Combine the Doctor with a Vampire
Combine Optimus Prime with Captain America.
    Combine Megatron with Doctor Doom
    Combine Galactus and Galvatron

Thats all I got for right now.

okay, I'd combine iron man and dr. octopus to make the iron squid (octavius with modified iron man armour) and I'd combine red hulk and red skull making him red skulk (red skull's personality takes over the red hulks body so it would go thadius then yohan, and ofn coarse red hulk would have a red skull head)

If I was combining characters it'd probably be with the intent of streamlining such a universe down to a single analog for each:

The Iron Knight - Brilliant young heir Bruce Stark survives an attack by the international criminal organization known as the Shadow Ring that kills his parents, but turns the tables on the Ring by building a frightening suit of armor which he uses to escape, and later refines into a sleek bat-like suit in which he roars down out of New Gotham's black evening skies to prey on the underworld. (Batman + Iron Man)

Thunder Woman - Naval nurse Diana Blake is left adrift in the cold northern seas after her aircraft carrier explodes in a surprise attack, but is taken in by a mystic colony of Norse warrior women, and proves herself worthy of the power of the God of Thunder, hefting a golden glowing lasso which transforms her into a towering female warrior that ventures back into Man's World to battle all sorts of supernatural menaces head-on. (Wonder Woman + Thor)

Green Rage - Military scientist Hal Banner has been summoned to analyze and unlock the mystery of a mysterious green cosmic battery that the government has appropriated from a dead alien, unaware that the mysterious battery manifests his most primitive destructive desires into the corporeal form of a luminous - and ANGRY - green giant that requires all Banner's will to be able to control enough to avoid harming innocents. (Green Lantern + Hulk, with maybe a touch of "Forbidden Planet" thrown in)

Super Vision - Disgraced scientist Hank Kent is living in seclusion in a small Kansas town after his previous attempt to create an AI from the computer of a small alien spaceship crashed on Earth resulted in the murderous Ultriac. His second attempt is instilled with the memory engrams of both himself and his recently-deceased wife Janet and, programmed with honest virtues, is destined to lead a never-ending battle against evil. (Superman + Vision)

That's all I got for now.

Seriously suprised no one said Superman + Batman. The combination would be able to defeat anyone.

Superbat would have superman's huge array of powers with Batman's fighting skills, intellect and gadgets. He'd be like something out of DBZ lol. I actually tried finding a good looking picture of what they might look like fused but no such luck.

Not talking about a composite superman kind of look either lol.

I think most of you are missing the point. Most of you are "fusing" characters. But the OP with his examples sounds like he was thinking more a character getting another characters power somehow without combining said characters.

    So I would go
Superman with a Green Lantern ring
    Hulk with the Juggernaut crystal
    Hulk with the Venom symbiote
Professor X in the Iron Man suit

EDIT: 1,000th post (Jul 2002 to Jul 2012!!)
