If you split Wolverine directly down the middle, do you end up with 2 Wolverines?

    Well do you?

Does one half decide to start healing and the other rot away? Or would both equal halves begin to heal since they would both have half a brain?

If one half is completely destroyed, does the other half then get the "signal" to begin rehealing raher than try to reconnect with the missing half?

If you were to then split those two halves again down the middle, keeping a quarter of the brain intact with each section, would you end up with four?

    . . .
    Mind fuck, much?

Didn't Wolverine get torn in half at one point in the comics? I don't know what it would be like to have it done vertically though.

No, his healing factor isn't like an earth worms biology. I assume you've read Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine where he was ripped in half, and later decapitated. And in both cases the parts were brought back together and they reattached themselves. Well in 616 Professor X's best plan to kill/stop Wolverine was decapitated him and remove the head from the area of the body.

I always thought about that. Chop him in half (Kung Lao Fatality style) and those two halves would reform into seperate Wolverines...

Except each one would have half an Adamantium skeleton each.

Now repeat this process a 10 times you'd have over 510 pissed off Wolverines with normal skeletons, and two with one half of an Adamantium skeleton each. Chop those two up again, and fuse their skeletons back together and you'll have the original back, with 511 followers!

Marvel MUST MAKE THIS HAPPEN. 'What if: The Beyonder played with Wolverine like Play doh?'

That would certainly explain how he can be in so many comics at once.

Hulk tore him in half at the waist once, and the top half went crawling to look for the legs...

But down the middle? Huh. I dunno. Sure, why not? :D

If one were to incinerate Wolverine to the point of ashes in some giant incineration chamber, and then use a large magnet to harvest his adamantium skeleton from said chamber, would they have successfully separated him from his skeleton? Thus, forcing whatever may remain of his flesh to rebuild a new body with a non-adamantium coated skeleton?

There was some bullshit that happened in Civil War when Wolvie was hunting Nitro and Nitro basically kicked and incinerated Wolverine down to his adamantium skeleton and he somehow healed back.

The truth is, healing factor limitations depend on whose writing the comic. Deadpool has had his head cut off and reattached and it's been healed back together. Then again, he's also had his head blown off by the Punisher recently and his WHOLE HEAD grew back. Same with Wolverine. He's been able to survive total incineration as well as having his skeleton ripped out. But recently, his healing factor has actually been toned down, since he has to fight death in human form every time he gets wounded beyond death and re-heals. If he fails to kill death in this spiritual battlefield, his soul is lost and he doesn't really return to his body. He failed recently and Brother Voodoo (maybe Doc Strange) got him back to his body but at the cost of dumbing down his regenerative powers.

    That's the last I heard.

    It's called Bone marrow son.

Yeah how far the writer can push it always a thing. On the rest of this, oh Marvel.

Wolverine used to have a limited healing factor till Loeb kicked it into overdrive. Now as for a character that could be cut in half and have two in his place. Lobo is the one who works like that. Lobo can regenerate from a drop of blood. Heck there have been times when there have been hundreds of him. But they typically start killing each other in a survival of the fittest senario till there is only one main man left.

You can't split Wolverine down the middle vertically. You wouldn't make it past his skull.

What if you managed to selectively teleport the adamantium from his entire body, and then sliced him in half, using any medical means necessary to fry and heal each halves independently?

Gah. Forgot- he doesn't have a PURE adamantium skeleton, rather, it's been fused to his bones. So yeah, bone marrow ftw. Don't understand how it heals itself past that unbreakable bone covering though...
