If you live near an Alamo Drafthouse, then I hate you. With all my heart.

Basically if you live near the drafthouse, you get to see re-releases of all the movies from 1982. (Like the road warrior, E.T, TRON, etc..)

...the title of this thread has never been more true.

The Alamo Drafthouse is like movie geek Mecca. They run awesome film festivals like this all the time and also get screenings of flicks with Q&A with the directors, writers and/or actors afterwards. And they've got a strictly-enforced "No Talking" rule during screenings.

I used to live in Austin and miss the Drafthouse. Premiere nights are fun. Dallas had Studio Movie but Drafthouse is better IMO. Why would I pay to see a movie in a office desk chair?

They had "Conan The Barbarian" last week, I would have loved to see it on the big screen.

Well that sounds awesome. Kinda wish I was in closer proximity to be able to experience it.
