If you were able to write a fourth (and even fifth, sixth, seventh, etc.) season for Prime, what would it be like? What characters would be in it? What would happen?

Here's my fourth season. What I would do is first, get rid of Predacons Rising and start the season after "Deadlock". I would introduce a new faction led by Liege Maximo as the main antagonists. The main plot points are as follows:

    • A new team of ex-Decepticons called the Demonicons that were exiled by Megatron would be introduced. There would be five Demonicons (Zeus, Odin, King Poseidon, Lady Ishtar and Lord Hades).
    • The Demonicons ruled ancient Earth and were the basis for the gods and goddesses of ancient mythology. They were eventually overthrown by the humans and all but the above five were killed. They survived by going into stasis.
    • The Demonicons used a machine to control the minds of ancient humans. In the present day, this machine would be found by a new human antagonist names Jake who would seek to use it to control people's minds. Jake would reactivate the machine and, in doing so, would reactivate the Demonicons.
    • There would be a revelation that the Decepticons were once a cult led by a Transformer named Megazarak. Megatron overthrew Megazarak and recreated the Decepticons as the faction we know. Megazarak was the ancestor of the Demonicons and his spark was actually housed in the machine!
    • In a battle with the Demonicons, the machine would be destroyed and Agent Fowler would be severely wounded. Megazarak's spark would possess/reanimate Fowler's body.
    • Megazarak/Fowler would be discovered by the remnants of MECH and would reform MECH as Neo-MECH.
    • Megazarak/Fowler would then betray the Demonicons and would force them to flee. Out of desperation, the Demonicons would use a relic to resurrect Megatron since Megatron is the only one who has ever defeated Megazarak.
    • Megatron would be resurrected in his IDW/TLK form. TLK-IDW-Megatron.jpg
    • Liege Maximo would be the main antagonist. He would recruit Megatron and give him the power to control death. Megatron would get the title of "The King of Death".
    • Liege Maximo would also recruit the Demonicons, the remaining Decepticons, Airachnid and Predaking. Liege would use them to build an army to take down Megazarak, who he created years ago. Liege wants Megazarak dead so that he can be the only powerful being around.
    • On Cybertron, the Autobots would have to contend with the remaining Decepticons (Starscream, Shockwave and Vehicons, as well as new characters Onslaught and Blitzwing). The Autobots would also have to deal with the rogue Autobot Prowl.
    • The Maximals would be introduced as six mutant Predacons that were captured by Liege Maximo thousands of years ago. Liege would unleash the Maximals on the Autobots. However, the Maximals would rebel and join the Autobots.
    • The Maximals would consist of Primal Prime, Silverbolt, Blackarachnia, Rhinox, Rattrap and Cheetor.
    • Predaking would get to lead a team of five new Predacons. These would be Hun-Grrr, Windrazer, Rippersnapper, Blight and Twinstrike. The Maximals would fight the Predacons.
    • The final battle would be a three-way fight on Cybertron between Neo-MECH, the Autobots and Liege Maximo's faction.
    • Liege Maximo would betray Megatron and reveal that he intends to turn Cybertron into a hellish planet. The Autobots and Decepticons would have to join forces to destroy Liege Maximo. However, Starscream would refuse to work with the Autobots and would go to Darkmount where he would be assaulted by the Predacons.
But that's just my season four idea. What's yours?

Hmm... Assuming I have to stick with the show as is here's what I've got so far.

    Season Four
    * The Autobots and Decepticons contesting for control of Cybertron while it's being restored. Shockwave takes command of the Decepticons in Kaon while Magnus and select members of Team Prime take command of the Autobots in Iacon.
    * New Autobots include Chromia (Arcee's silver twin), Breakaway (ROTF inspired, Dreadwing design), Trailbreaker, Meltdown (TF Universe)
    * New Decepticons include Banzaitron (Bludgeon's student), Sideways (ROTF inspired), Runamuck & Runabout, Shellshock (TF Universe)
    * (One Episode) Airachnid invades a city and slaughters any who enter. Bots (Arcee not included) and Cons investigate and team up to defeat her. The infested city is reduced to ash. Chromia blasts Airachnid's head clean in off in response to the spider's threat to her sister.
    * Predaking discovers more of his kin, stored away in one of Shockwave's labs, and acts as a rogue party siding with no one. Two of his kind, Doublecross and Grotesque, join the Autobots.
    * Shockwave plans on using Dark Energon as a means of controlling Cybertron and both factions. He is killed by Banzaitron to stop his plan.
    * Autobots have shore leave on Earth. Human and Ratchet reunion.

    Season 4.5
    * Megatron, in self appointed exile, arrives at Earth's moon as a prison ship approaches Earth. Several pods are seen ejecting leading Megatron to investigate.
    * Several Autobots; Hotspot, Blades, Streetwise, Groove, and Strongarm survive but their senior officer Checkpoint dies.
    * Ratchet and Fowler aid in Hotspot's group in searching for Decepticon criminals.
    * Prisoners are pre-war Decepticon sympathizers.
    * Megatron is captured and brought to a mock trial. He is given parole until the group returns to Cybertron. He adapts an Earth mode in the form of a truck.
    * Decepticons meet MECH remnants and forms an alliance.
    * MECH is a government supported group wanting to utilize Cybertronian technology.
    * No Defensor combination.

    Season Five
    * Autobots now search for their comrades across the galaxy while uncovering truths of the Thirteen and discovering colony worlds. Decepticons coordinate from Chaar, a former prison and foundry planet, to earn the favor of these colonies.
    * Thunderclash leads the Autobot expedition. Switchblade leads faction's his campaign.
    * New Autobots include Thunderclash (not-Optimus), Blaster with Eject and Rewind, Road Rage, Hauler, Prowl
    * New Decepticons include Soundblaster (not Soundwave) with Ratbat and Buzzsaw, Overcharge, Deadlock (not Drift), Switchblade (TF Universe)
    * Star Seekers and Quintessons align together to destroy both factions and Cybertron. Quintesson betrayal ensues.
    * Predaking is requested by the Autobots to act as an ambassador to Eukaris and he claims the planet for his own and remains neutral.
    * Autobots and Decepticon acquire one new combiners each (no re-imagining).
    * Truths of Thirteen expose they were conquerors who converted organic planets to suite Cybertronians. The Arisen stood in defiance of this cause a rift in the Thirteen.

I'll probably come back with more at some point.

A time travel season where they go back and actually follow through with previous plot threads.

    Nah but seriously:

-Bludgeon as a main Decepticon. Design wise he'd be based on his ROTF voyager toy, which would fit the PRIME aesthetic perfectly. He would also fit the gritty theme of the show, allowing him to do serious damage to the Autobots.
-Knockout is revealed to have been affected by Breakdown's death more than he lets on, but since Silas is already dead he'd be unable to get closure.
-Airachnid returns with hr zombie-Insecticon army. Arcee and Knockout team up to defeat her- Arcee finally gets closure for Tailgate, Knockout gets close enough to closure since Airachnid killed Silas.
-Some of the Seekers return and pledge their allegiance to Starscream- he can't help but betray Megatron again and start his own faction. Megatron laments killing Dreadwing in favor of Stascream.

Make more seasons of Prime, huh? Nnh.

    Well... here goes.

    - With both leaders gone, and one of them disbanding their faction, the seasonal arc is the Autobots and Decepticons attempting to come to some sort of resolution.

    - Word is out that Cybertron is restored, the Combaticons are the first Decepticons to arrive. General Onslaught refuses to accept that the Decepticons are finished and siezes Darkmount, as well as leadership role.

    - The Vehicons from the Nemesis either side with the Autobots, become neutral under their protection, or fight back and some escape their captors.

    - Seaspray is alive and rejoins the Wreckers! Other new Bots include Drift, Jazz, and (WFC) Sideswipe.

    - Ultra Magnus, not fully recovered, is once again wounded while covering the Autobots' retreat from an attacking Bruticus overruning their current base. He is temporarily resigned to a wheel/hoverchair, but will kick ass anyway. (He can't deal with being crippled right now!)

    - The Combaticons return to Darkmount with the damaged Nemesis. Shockwave, who is indeed dead but running on a backup processor and Synth-En, begins repairs on it.

    - Shockwave officially declares Project Predacon a failure, and returns to one of his laboratories to restart Project Dinobot, and creates several Dinobots from Autotroopers captured when their ship was intercepted. He also has access to more variants of Vehicons now, including tanks, choppers, and trucks.

    - Since the proper, complete version of Synth-En is yellow, (i think) Shockwave's optic is now yellow. I'm not a geewunner, I just think a change like this would be neat.

    - Ratchet, who feels pity for Predaking, takes it upon himself to resurrect Project Predacon with the goal of bringing the species back so they can live in peace with other Cybertronians. Predaking, Skylynx, and Darksteel settle down in the Predacon burial ground and begin building a small village.

    - A returning Decepticon ship weary of landing on Cybertron decides to first land on one of its moons. A certain spider-vampire kills every occupant and takes it down to the planet...

Unit E develops powered armor reversed-engineered from the Apex Armor. The Apex Armor itself is returned to Iacon, but Miko and Jack use the successor suits on Cybertron. Raf stays in the safety of the Autobots' new base.

    - Airachnid takes control of a hive of Insecticons formerly led by Bombshell, Shrapnel, and Kickback and seeks revenge on... well, everyone. Eventually, Knock Out is faced with the decision of killing her in cold blood for revenge for Breakdown's death. Arcee convinces him to spare her, and both finally recieve closure on their dead partners, though Knock Out remains conflicted and unsure if his place is truly with the Autobots. With Airachnid left for dead, she is finally killed by the Insecticon trio.

    - The Dinobots find themselves at the Autobot base, and are desperate to save Grimlock, who has been in stasis lock for years. Only Slug, Swoop, and Snarl remain. They participate in battle while Knock Out attempts to revive Grimlock.

    - The Nemesis is repaired, but something Shockwave has done allows Trypticon to transform once again. A big damn battle ensues, and the Autobots barely manage to hold him off in the fortress that is unknowingly Metroplex's dead body.

    - Grimlock is restored and awakend from stasis lock by Knock Out, but his memory core was severely damaged. He has zero memory of being the leader of the Lightning Strike Coalition. During the fight against Trypticon, Shockwave finds him, shocked (lel) that he is completely unlike his past self, decides to take him with him and decieves him into thinking he is a Decepticon.

    - Season Finale: In an all-or-nothing decision, the Combaticons, Vehicons, Trypticon, and the Decepticon Dinobots (including Grimlock) led by Scorn take on Autobot City. Things are looking bad for the Autobots, and just as they finally lose hope, an Autotrooper warship (led by Prowl) descends from the sky and carpetbombs Trypticon, turning the tide of the battle. The Combaticons are imprisoned. Shockwave escapes and goes into hiding. Trypticon is put back into stasis lock and vehicle form. Some of the Dinocons surrender, but some do not. Grimlock, having killed Sideswipe, is not fully welcomed back to the Autobots.

    - The war finally ends as Ultra Magnus and Onlsaught sign the Pax Cybertronia Treaty.

    - The series ends with Megatron, unspeaking and alone in an unknown corner of space, sits in a chair-like rock on a dark asteroid and goes into stasis-lock.

...My best attempt at a fourth season that can actually work as a lead-in into Robots in Disguise.

My season ignores Predacons Rising, simply because there wouldn't be a budget for a planet full of Cybertronians. It's plot points would be spread out across the season, instead. Very little new elements will be introduced, due to the show's budget constraints. A lot of focus will be put on trying to expand on underutilized concepts and correct the show's past mistakes in character development.
    • The first episode would be focused on Ratchet and the Kids on Earth and would deal with the return of MECH, without Silas. It ends with Ratchet calling Cybertron for help.
    • The second episode would be set on Cybertron and focus on the Autobots dealing with Sky-Lynx and Dark Steel and will establish Starscream and Shockwave as lead antagonists. The two 'Cons would fight a lot, before realizing that Megatron had been turning them against each other and that they don't need to compete now he's gone. Arcee would abandon her team to try to and capture Screamer for killing Cliffjumper. The episode would end with the 'Bots receiving Ratchet's call for help.
    • The third episode would see Arcee and Bumblebee returning to Earth to help deal with Mech and reuniting with Raf and Jack. Miko would feel left out, but would eventually be partnered up with Arcee, as Jack starts partnering with Bumblebee, as they're both becoming leaders and Raf is spending more time with Ratchet.
    • Over the course of the season, Jack and Bee bond together and both grow as leaders.
    • Over the course of the season, Mech would create a small army of Transformer drones.
    • There would be an episode dealing with the Autobots on Cybertron being attacked by a group of the Terracons created in Darkness Rising.
    • There would be an episode that largely focuses on the 'Bots dealing with the Vehicon workforce that would establish them as being sentient drones with no sparks. Starscream would use a Terracon attack as a distraction to free the prisoners and lead the workforce in a revolt but Knockout and half of the workers would be unwilling to follow his leadership and a large 'Con on 'Con battle ensues and Screamer's forces retreat.
    • One episode have Optimus leave to retrieve the Allspark.
    • An episode would see Starscream sneaking into the Nemesis and infusing it with Dark Energon taken from Terrorcons, in order to reactivate its consciousness. The ship picks up where it left off, remotely activating the Space Bridge and returning to Earth. The humans once again stop it, but Starscream disables the Space Bridge, stranding all the 'Bots on Earth.
    • The following episode, Mech infiltrates the Nemesis and discover Dark Energon. They use it to tract down Megatron's body. They retrieve and repair it, only for Unicron to take control of it. He infuses Dark Energon into the drones they've made, in order to control them. He proceeds to destroy Mech then sets out to find the Autobots.
    • The episode after has Unicron track down the Nemesis through the Dark Energon inside it. He and his drones attack and he eventually uses the Dark Energon to boost his powers enough to upgrade Megatron's body.
    • A B-story would see Knockout sewing decent in the 'Cons ranks, turning them against Screamer, to distract from him foiling them. He'd succeed in contacting Earth but they'd warn him off reactivating the space bridge. Unicron no longer has need for his body and is more concerned with destroying Primus. Screamer retakes control and upon hearing what's happening, lets Unicron return to Cybertron, in hopes of freeing Megatron and taking revenge on him for turning him into a joke.
    • In the last two episodes, Screamer's scheme fails and Unicron takes control of the terrorcons and has them converge on the entrance to the planets core. The 'Bots, 'Cons and 'Preds team up to stop him. Optimus returns and uses the Allspark's casing to stop him.
    • In a B-story, Arcee once again abandons her team to try getting revenge on Starscream for killing Cliffjumper but when she realizes Screamer's failed plan that unleashed the apocalypse was all an attempt to get vengeance on Megatron, she sees the dangerous path revenge sets people on and instead returns to her team.
    • It would be implied Starscream is killed by the Predacons and Optimus sacrifices himself to return the Allspark to Cybertron's core, bringing new life to Cybertron with his death.

I think I'd have more connections to War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, introducing the Dinobots initially under the control of Starscream and Shockwave, before regaining their sentience. The Dinobots, especially Grimlock, would struggle with their loyalties throughout the season until Grimlock realizes he needs to overcome his pride and agree to fight alongside Optimus. Megatron would stay dead, and Ratchet would remain on Earth. The Combaticons would arrive on Earth, and decide to enact vengeance upon humanity for their part in defeating the Decepticons. Jack, Miko, and Raf would be armed with mech suits based on the Apex Armor, and Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Arcee would eventually return to Earth, with Bumblebee taking on a leadership role. Optimus Prime and Wheeljack would venture out into deep space searching for the Allspark, but come across Airachnid and her Vehicon army in the process, who would chase the two Autobots back to Cybertron. Knock Out would have more of a character arc in trying to prove himself as one of the Autobots. Starscream and Shockwave would clone Darksteel and Sky Lynx, trying to unleash them on the Autobots, but they would turn on the two Decepticons when they meet Predaking, and Starscream would leave Shockwave behind, who does manage to reason with the Predacons and suggest that they take control of Cybertron. Meanwhile, on Earth, Bulkhead is killed by the Combaticons' combined form, Bruticus, and Miko would be distraught over losing her Wrecker buddy. With Raf working more closely with Ratchet and Arcee already partners with Jack, Bumblebee takes on a brotherly role towards Miko. Meanwhile, Shockwave and the Predacons are in the middle of a fight with the Dinobots and Autobots, but the arrival of Optimus Prime, Wheeljack, and about a hundred Insecticon zombies convinces them to ally themselves with the Autobots. Meanwhile, Starscream is left alone and abandoned, having betrayed everyone and left himself with no allies left. Airachnid shows up to taunt him about this, convincing Starscream to missile her in the face and retreat, hoping to ally himself with the Autobots. A battle commences between the allied Cybertronians and the Insecticon army, and things are going badly for the Cybertronians, even with the Predacons and now Starscream helping them. During the battle, Knock Out sacrifices himself to save Starscream, proving himself an Autobot in the end. Starscream joins up with Optimus and they call Earth, convincing the Combaticons to abandon their pointless revenge and join the crew on Cybertron. The battle is starting to turn in the Autobots' favor, but Airachnid and the Insecticons begin to merge, forming a new body for Unicron. Optimus decides there is one hope of defeating Unicron once and for all, and goes to Cybertron's core to awaken Primus. The awakened Primus and Unicron clash, and, with the Autobots, Decepticons, and Predacons also helping their creator, Unicron's new body is destroyed, and Primus combines his power with the Matrix of Leadership, unleashed by Optimus to destroy Unicron's essence permanently. Primus returns to Cybertron's core, and the Matrix of Leadership is spent. Optimus Prime acknowledges how well the three sides fought together as one, and suggests that the alliance become permanent. Though some of the Autobots are hesitant to accept the Decepticons, particularly Starscream, Starscream assures them that they will do their best to make amends, and the Decepticons are granted amnesty. Optimus leads the new Alliance on Cybertron, while Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet, and the humans return to Earth.

    Had some more ideas:

-Silas finds himself not fully dead, his consciousness having been implanted in Breakdown's processor. He navigates the rotting husk of Breakdown to a Spacebridge, where he forces one of the guards to warp him back to Earth. One Army base break-in later, Silas transfers himself to his new body-Nemesis Prime, the self proclaimed 'scourge' of the Autobots. After failing to take the Autobots out on his own, he joins up with Starscream.

-The Vehicon miner that Ratchet attacked in 'Stronger, Faster' keeps having flashbacks to Ratchet attacking him and goes rogue, stealing some of Knockout's tech and becoming the PRIME version of Lockdown. Later, Starscream hires him to join his team.

-Starscream eventually leads his New Decepticons against the Autobots.

Just thought of this for a alternate season five. It follows most of what I set up but there are some differences.
    * Autobots led by Thunderclash (voiced by Peter Cullen) venture across the galaxy to recover lost Autobots, discovering Cybertronian colonies. Some of these colonies house historic records of the Thirteen. Cast is the same.
    * Decepticons led by Switchblade investigate disappearing Decepticon warships, transports, and scouting fleets believing the Autobots are the culprits. Cast is the same.
    * The Star Seekers, allied with the Quintessons, scour space for Cybertronian vessels to destroy. They plan to amass an invasion fleet to invade Cybertron.
    * The Autobots encounter colonies under Quintesson rule. claiming to be part of a Cybertronian Coalition Fringe which promotes cooperation between organic and mechanical species. In reality it's a slave trade with Transformers being sold as property.
    * Decepticons also encounter CCF colonies and offer a chance to join the Decepticon Empire. When declined the colonies are made an example of by their capitols being reduced and populace obliterated.
    * Final episodes focus on Autobot and Decepticon cooperation to destroy the Quintesson invasion fleet. Autobots stay behind to uncover the legacy of Quintus Prime. Decepticons depart for their War World to report their mission. A proposal of a treaty between both factions is considered by both groups and their leaders.
    * No combiners. Maybe another season.
