If you could take one Transformer figure and enlarge him to roughly 6 feet in height, which one would you choose.

    Things to keep in mind:
    Level of detail
    Quality of paint apps.
    articulation

I would assume most of you would pick your favorites, but the first one that came to mind was Energon Skorponok. Hardly my favorite, but he has great detail. Plus you can load candy into his hands. :lolol

G1 Metroplex - no doubt about it! True to scale with respect to other G1 toys. You would finally be able to re-create the classic movie battle @ Autobot City.

Other picks - Cybertron Primus & Energon Unicron

Armada Unicron. In planet mode he can act as a storage container for my other Tfs.

Metroplex isn't a bad idea, but the best answer is perfectly obvious. . .

Fortress Maximus. Scale that bastard up to six or even seven feet and have him be big enough to have actual living quarters for your "normal" Transformers built into his legs and chest. Hellz yeah.

If I had all the space in the world, I'd build one just for kicks.

Metroplex and Fortress Maximus would be cool for sure, but my first pick would be Trypticon just because I like him better.

Realistically to fit in with the other toys though, I'd make original BW Rhinox, Primal and Dinobot Megas so they'd fit in better to scale with the others. Megatron was fine as an Ultra, but Primal seems a little too big. and Rhinox and Dinobot were way too small for the way they were protrayed in the show. I know they try to make the popular main characters deluxe sized so they're 'cheaper' in the eyes of mommy and daddy, but the scale bugs the hell out of me.

A 7 foot tall Fort Max is out of the question for me on many levels. I'd vote for Metroplex and put him on scale with Fort Max as in the Japanese Headmasters.

Oh, and you can make classic battle scenes from Scramble City with the present Metroplex but you have to use knock-offs (and some paint) to do it.

EDIT: Sorry for that... Actually the city bots are a great idea for that type of scale... or Unicron!

for me, it'd have to be some of the combiners...Bruticus, Superion, Defensor, Computron, Menasor & so on.

I like the city bots idea too...

I thought Metroplex was smaller then Fort Max in the headmaster series too.

My vote would go to Fort max also.

I always felt that the Japanese got it wrong regarding Fort Max's size and Metroplex's size. Metroplex is a CITY and Fort Max is only a MILITARY OUTPOST. Metroplex should be much, much bigger.

Also, always keep in mind that Fort Max's head, Cerebros, is the same height as Optimus and/or Rodimus in robot form; therefore, Fort Max's toy form is actually to scale with the other G1 figures...

Funny, I can think of more 'bots in the last few years that should be scaled DOWN, i.e. they're too large to be as simple as they are... The Giant Planet guys come to mind, as does the G2 Laser Prime mold (which I think really should have been no larger than a deluxe).

As far as upscaling goes, I'm going to go with Megahead Megatron. It would be sweet to see him Fort Max size.
