Recently, I found out that there was a Transformers Gum version of Hot Rod, which took many cues from the Masterpiece release, including the way he inserts into his trailer backwards, despite the fact that the figure is only four inches tall. Considering how disappointed I was with Classics Rodimus, I wondered what it would be like to have MP-9 scaled down as a replacement. If you could have one Masterpiece as a Classics Deluxe or Voyager size, which would it be?

The choices are pretty limited. I like Henkei Convoy just fine, as with Megatron, the Seekers, and Rodimus.

Scale down MP Grimlock and keep Classics/Henkei Grimlock's dino-mode, and we'll be in business.

Out of the limited choices I would say Grimlock.

Grimlock, cause the Classics representation is kind of a turd, and MP is spectacular IMO. Sure they could scale down Megs, but for some damn reason, I have a love for wingy-nerfy Megs.

I'd love to see a scaled down Grimlock.

Rodimus first (if simplified and had no major qc issues), then the new Prime

First they need to make a MP Galvatron, then they can downscale him.

I'd like MP-10 Convoy to be scaled down to a small voyager to be accurate in scale with MP-08 Grimlock and others, excluding MP-01/04 Convoy and MP-05Megatron.

I actually use MP Grimlock as Classics Grimlock because his MP scale fits?

I'm glad to not be alone. He's meant to be bigger than most of the season 1, 2, and 3 cast, excluding the giants like Devastator, Sky-Lynx, and city-formers.

Same here. Even if the scale is probably arguable, a huge dino mode can't be wrong.

I'd like to see another crack at Hot Rod in the classics scale. I think the Animated deluxe and the candy kit do alot of things right that the MP version does. If you remove the Rodimus Prime conversion and perhaps even the need for black shins, I think MP Rodimus could scale down surprisingly well as a deluxe

MP-10 I'd like to see as a Voyager. Remove the matrix and the need for a human to sit inside and I think a Voyager's torso would have enough room to approximate the MP's transformation without looking too awful. Hopefully, he's be slightly taller than Classics Optimus, who I always felt was a touch small for a Voyager.

I use MP Grimlock with Classics figs as well, along with the Seekers and Faith Leader.

I would rather see some Classics figures scaled UP somewhat (with added detailing, of course), such as Cyclonus and Scourge, in order to fit better, but I do have to admit, a scaled down MP Hot Rod/Rodimus would be pretty awesome. That original Henkei/Classics mold is showing its age...

Definitely Grimlock in Voyager size or a smidge larger, preferably with tail-moves-head gimmick gutted in favor of stronger, more stable jointing throughout the torso.

    Rodimus.

I think the classics Rodimus mold is garbage, and needs to be replaced badly. Grimlock's classics mold isn't that great, but it's at least better than Rodimus', especially in articulation.
