If they repeat view and support Bay at the box office to see those (inevitable) cool parts again, it will effectively mean the film performs, reaches its targets, and that Bay and co. will be free to hold on to the franchise for a minimum of another 3-4 years, a sequel, and more of the same. If the film underperforms, but the resurgent popularity of TF is made apparent by the enterprise, well then it maybe paves the way for a new, possibly more fan-orientated director in the Singer/Raimi tradition who see the potential in the fanbase ... new ideas, new vision. And isn't that, ultimately, what we want here long-term, to do the TF mythos justice? Your thoughts please? .
