would you play it?
What characters should be featured on the backglass and playfield?
it'd prob feature a stock photo like this one:
As long as there's a plastic mechanical Grimlock and bends down to eat your ball and the game is narrated by Peter Cullen. Imagine this: GAME OVER!!!!! "And I thought you were made of sterner stuff!"
Also, the balls should emerge from a launcher that is shaped like Megatron's cannon and the ball launch trigger should be Megatron's gun mode.
Man, this gives me lots of ideas. I might go drawn this thing out.
^^ everytime you're on your last ball, cullen says "at the end of this day, one shall stand, one shall fall."
I would say Waspinator, but he'll fall apart after getting hit by the pinball.

There have been some tabletop and free-standing TF pinball games (click here to see pics), but I would love to see a full-size TF pinball arcade game.
My wife found this vintage one for me at a thrift store...and it still works!
I'm surprised there's not one of the Michael Bay movies.
hahahaha I was SO right with the image!...
or perhaps I had seen it before and it was deep in my subconscious...
A pinball machine today would probably be of the Michael Bay movies, which I'm not into. But a real hardcore G1 table would be AMAZING.
Voiceroy- that's awesome! I believe I had that (or something similar) as a kid, but it didn't survive the abuse I put it thru.
There's been some push for Stern to make one, but there is some cost problems involved with big movie franchises where the production companies have been known to charge too high of a royalty. There were plans (evidently) for one to be made of the 2007 movie, but costs became an issue. You can read about it on the Stern forums:
Oh, you guys are just talking about pinball machines. I thought we were talking about real live pinball machines, as in the giant ones where trapped people run for their lives in for the amusement of others.
... carry on.
I think we can all agree such a pinball machine would have to have a spinner ramp somewhere, with the autobot symbol on one side of the spinner and a decepticon logo on the other.
Other than that, I think it'd be cool if they based the marquee off the G1 panini sticker book cover art, and had a ramp with a bunch of possible exits called The Space Bridge.
they better be as good as medival madness or jurassic park pinball game
You could try the new kids on the block:
Jersey Jack Pinball
They only have 1 table and it hasn't even been built yet. I guess it would be possible but I'd think if Stern couldn't afford it, neither could some startup company without any product on the market yet.
Optimus has to say 'Booby Trap!' when you lose your ball down a hole.
You'll just have to be content with one of these kiddie ones:
Ball decos must include Primus (Cybertron) and Moonbases One and Two. The hole into which the ball falls when it's lost will be decorated to look like Unicron's maw.
And G1 Bumper must be in there to bounce the ball off.
There is a Visual Pinball simulation of one done quite awhile ago (pre movie?)...
it's not great but it's a nice start. Has G1 sounds in it too.
Nah, there's plenty of other ones to play:
