If the Autobots don't know about Breakdown's death, could Silas possibly use that as a way to supposedly defect to their side? I thought of that while reading another thread and went "Oh crap". Being a spy for Megatron. Attempt to learn more Autobot secrets. Oh the trouble he could cause for them.

If they found out somehow I totally missed it. If I did someone kindly correct me.

It didn't occur to me that the Autobots wouldn't know what happened to Breakdown... things with Silas could get interesting.

I don't they know, but I don't think Bulkhead would fall for it either even in his present state. I'm sure he'll be wanting to talk about old times when he can and find out nothing fits and informs Ratchet, who informs the others.

I don't know if they can easily detect stuff like that or not. And I honestly didn't think of that. Good point.

I'm pretty sure Bulkhead would notice that something's wrong with Breakdown.

A spark is the Cybertronian analogue to a Soul.

The bots would be able to detect that he had Energon in him and electrical activity in his systems, unless he exposes his spark (If possible with Silasdown) they would have to take his word for it.

At first I thought the OP was on to something, until I remembered this.

I thought about that. There is speculation that perhaps Breakdown memories could still be intact. Maybe Silas could access/use those to throw Bulkhead off? At least for a little bit anyway. That's also assuming Silas is going to be hardwired into Breakdown.

I don't know how Prime handles the spark. But I think in most series, the spark is what makes the figure who they are. Like in the case in G1 when Starscream took over somebody, it was all him and his memories.

So all that Mech could have is just a empty shell with Silas mind in it.

Maybe, but I don't know how long that would last. Considering this show's disposition towards wrapping stories up quickly, and Bulkhead probably noticing that Breakdown would be acting different, I don't think this would last more than 1 episode

One possibility...they've been monitoring transmissions and have heard comments about BD...or at the very least..noticed BD hasn't been around for a while. Bulk should have noticed that for certain...and checked into the situation....maybe.

Ratchet should be able to 'tell' if Breakdown is indeed a Con or not...in past episodes it's usually been Ratchet on monitor duty who tells the others if he is getting a decepticon energy signature and how many at any given time.

If Silas is using BD's body as suspected, he shouldn't have a signature, bot, con or otherwise...and if not, then the Autobots should have a clue that BD is NOT BD.

Of course, that's a big IF...if the writers decide to use previous on-screen tech and logic. :D

But how could he spy on the Autobots anyway? He's a Decepticon, and if Silas is using Breakdown's body they would see it's damaged, a changed voice, and he might not be using breakdown's head so i don't think it could happen but you never know

Did he take over someone in G1? I thought it was Beast Wars, he took over Waspinator.

He body hops quite a bit, including even Trypticon at one point.

I don't see that happening. I don't think Breakdown not being as bad as the other Cons was ever supposed to be a big thing. I believe he was just intended to have the personality of your average Joe Decepticon. Not really a diabolical villain but a strong believer in the Decepticon cause. People just took this to mean he would change sides because they were looking for the Dinobot character. I'm not saying there wasn't anything interesting going on with him but changing sides was and is never going to happen.

I don't see Silas going over to the Autobot side not being a spy for the Decepticons.

Silas has his personal agendas which he won't let go of.

Although BD may still have some past thoughts/flashbacks within him is possible.
