If Sentinel never killed Ironhide, would he have been a "good" guy in your eyes?

I mean I think Sentinel had good outlooks on how he wanted the race to survive, but his killling of ironhide was what made him a really bad guy in my eyes

So condemning the whole humanity to a lifetime of slavery is okay?

No he still would have been bad. He did more bad things. He brought an entire Decepticon army and betrayed all that the Autobots stood for. But killing Ironhide proves his wickedness.

No. It's not like killing Ironhide was the only reason he was evil the movie.

absolutely not he wanted to enslave
us, and kill anyone who got in his way.
Optimus tried to make him see that
enslaving and killing us was Not the
way, that he should help us not destroy us.
But sentinel wouldn't listen he kept going
On about how they were gods. i'm sure that
after sentinel was done with earth he would have
gone on to the next planet with resources
so No sentinel was not a good guy in my eyes :)

Ironhide was the least of his offenses.

He planned this whole thing with Megatron.
He took the Autobots only weapon in the war and destroyed it when the Ark was shot up.
He was going to rob Earth (or whatever planet the Allspark would've landed on) of all of it's resources, including it's life forms.
He was willing to kill innocents, no matter the cost.

And on top of all that, he killed Ironhide. Ironhide's a drop in the bucket compared to what he pulled with everything else plus all of the executions in Chicago.

He's as corrupt as they come. I'm sure he was good and pure when he first came online, but like anyone, as time went on, he became corrupted. His learned and instilled evil is no better than a Decepticon born pure evil. Once that line is crossed, it's crossed.

    Evil. Period.

    Yep, if Sentinel hadn't of killed Ironhide, we could all be toiling away in the mines underneath the ravaged remains of our once great cities, as our Decepticon overlords strip the very crust of our soon to be dead planet, and we could look up every now and then between the near fatal whippings to see the benevolent face of Sentinel Prime glaring down at us from the myriad monitors broadcasting a continuous loop of his glorious message 'Work puny fleshlings. Work until the flesh falls from your bones to restore the glory of Cybertron!' and we could think to ourselves;

'He's all right that Sentinel fella'

Although not for too long obviously, cause the Decepticon work gang leader might realise that you've stopped for a second and incinerate you.

    Short answer: No.

Long answer: Fuck no. Not killing a dude won't make up for planned slavery of the entire bloody human race.

What everyone else said. The man betrayed his pupil, committed the Chicago massacre, and was planning on enslaving the human race. Ironnhide's death, while tragic, was not the only reason Sentinel turned out to be a bastard.

Ironhide's death was more or less the kick off to Sentinel showing his true colours and intentions to the audience.

In the end even if he hadn't killed Ironhide, he was still a bastard turncoat who was prepared to sacrifice an entire sentient race, planet and murder his own former allies to reach his goals.

Even if Sentinel didn't killed Ironhide, I still would hate him, though not as much.

Ditto. Killing Ironhide was the icing on the cake for me.

If it was Bay's intent to make me want to string Sentinel up by his metal balls, and slowly & painfully torture him, then he succeeded (sorry for any who may be offended, but I have no sympathy for backstabbing murdering traitors).
