Is he so hard to find around here? Today i literally searched, 6 Wal Marts, 3 Miejer stores, 1 Toys R Us (the only one remotely close to me), among other places. just took the day to search for him.So if he is such a bad figure and noone wants him where the #^%$ is he? I know every one of those stores stocked them too. What gives?:mad

Bulkhead, Prime, and Megatron are all extremely common around here.

Find any Starscreams too? Wave 2's case distribution is heavy on Optimus Primes. Around here, we're lacking Megatron, Starscream and Bulkhead, and just stocked to the gills with Optimus. That's probably why you're not seeing Bulkheads around.

Plus, I thought this is a horse well beaten...people are settling for RID Bulkhead not because it's superior, but it's "good enough" and they aren't willing to shell out for an FE one.

I found a few Screams around here, but not many, and far in between. Which is fine by me, I love my FE Deluxe Scream. I've got one still in the box if you're looking for one.

No thanks. The only Prime voyager I'm interested in is FE Optimus, that's about it. AM Breakdown is nice, but I'm not sure if I really want to put down for it. I don't really care for Breakdown's character enough to pay Takara prices for it, and I'm definitely not getting whatever version of him comes out in America 'cuz I'm not paying Hasbro for that Mechtech junk.

Anyways, what I meant to say in that post is that it isn't that there is a desire for Bulkhead...more that Bulkhead and Starscream are shortpacked in that case. So if you're not finding Bulkhead, chances are you're not seeing Starscream either.

Saw it once at a TRU and never saw it again.
It's not that bad of a figure according to reviews, its just not as good as the first edition

Because children, the primary market for transformers, want a Bulkhead toy.

Then there's the collectors who actually like it.

Finally, we have the collectors who would get the first edition figure if they could, but have to "settle" for this one.

Yeah they really went overboard with Optimus on these case distributions. It is relatively difficult to even find Megatron here. Optimus is a bigger shelf warmer than BB at the places I search. Too bad because I have all the Voyagers and Starscream is awesome. Bulk is ok. My daughter sticks her nose up at him in favor of our FE, justifiably, but the RID is not bad.

I really like the figure a lot. I think patience is the order of the day, as I've seen a few.

He really is a good figure. The FE is slightly better, but the second version is no where close to being as bad as the Toy Fair pictures back in February led me to believe.

I see him almost every time I go out hunting. I have the Takara FE so I never even bothered with it.

I'm really getting tired of this generalization. Just because I like RID Bulkhead, I'm 'settling'?

1 - I've never had FE Bulkhead in hand nor seen it in person, ergo I can't personally know if I'm 'settling.'

2 - FE Bulkhead is worth the cost of a Voyager to me, maybe a little more. He's not worth the cost I'd have to pay to get one. For the same amount of money, I could easily think of ten other TFs I'd rather get. Personal value is not the same as settling.

3 - RID Bulky doesn't have giant googly eyes. :lol

OP: Bulkhead is popular, and RID Bulkhead is a good toy. I'm not going to do the whole 'compare it to FE,' since I've never interacted with the FE, so I can judge RID Bulky simply on its own merits, and those make him a good toy in my book.

Patience and persistence. I see Bulky and Screamer pop up about once a month during my hunts.
