    Yes, yes it was.

Granted it won't happen, but Cameron would make a great choice for the sequel.

I'd like to see Bay return with Speilberg still producing. Sure Bay wasn't perfect but I thought he did a good job. As for an alternate directer I think somebody like John Woo would do a great job as long as he had a great script writer to make sure it still feels like transformers, with ILM returning on the effects of course. It will still be Bay though.

I honestly think that it was Michael Bay's destiny to make a TF movie.

But if not him, I forgot his name, but that French director who did Brotherhood of the Wolf and Silent Hill.

Stephen Spielberg. I'm pretty sure he'd find some nice way to help out the fans.

Or how about John Woo lol

    Hello All!

Well, if Blu-Ray Bay doesn't direct the sequel, then I guess this topic has some merit after all!

As for directors who have experience with heavy machinery and a large scope/vision for movies, James Cameron or Ridley Scott would do well. Genre-wise, Cameron is the better of the two probably.

Just to throw out a left-field name, Zack Snyder :)

Im suprised at all the Bay supporters! Where were these guys before when all we had to roll with was the design stills (and death threats),lol. Personally, I think there are MANY directors that could do just as good or better! It really doesnt matter who... Just PLEASE:

    have a better storyline

    more wider shots

    more slo-mo shots

    less close ups!

And a 3rd act that isnt rushed due to a drawn out 1st and 2nd act...

PS - Also, no short cuts! It pissed me off that after BB gets his legs blown off, they show Jazz roll up... and do nothing but stay in car mode... Obviously cutting corners to save $ on CGI... There are many other examples too.

Judd Apatow needs to be involved. Think of all the Erector jokes.

Agreed, it was a movie featuring a few transformers and others that were suppose to be, Bay is great at directing action, but like everything else, not so much.
