That's... rather too daring... doubtful Bay could manage to get one of those things if he has Mirage in TF3.

    Mirage would be a Minivan.

"$28.2 billion?" You couldn't find a more expensive car?

Sigh, ...anyway there is no way they would invest that much money soley on a car, not even the film itself has made that much, it would cause loss of revenue, rather than gain.

    Nonetheless, the car is sick!

Expensive car is cool, but expensive.

Perosnally, I'd like to see a movie-verse Mirage as some sort of off road race car, so he could actually drive in a desert setting. Just seems to make sense for someone named Mirage.

Probelm with Formula 1 racers is that they arn't really built to drive on anything but perfectly paved race tracks. You hit the slightest abnormality on a road in one of those things, and they go flying.

This isn't really true. Quite a few F1 and INDY races are driven on normal roads which are used by commuters everyday and get closed for racing events. They even race in rainy conditions.

Example: St. Petersburg Grand Prix. Driven on the steets of downtown St. Pete, FL. hardly "perfectly paved".

I obviously wouldnt run a BAJA 1000 in a formula car, but they can definitely handle more that "perfectly paved race tracks". NASCAR, on the other hand, not so much.

I imagine a Movie-verse Mirage as some sort of a sports car, something within the lines of a Ford GT or Chevy Monte Carlo. I just can't see him transform into a race car and drive around on the streets and such with the other Autobots without drawing so much attention to himself.

    Just my humble opinion.

    That thing is street legal?

Anyways, I wouldn't mind it if Mirage was actually some sort of desert-based vehicle, since it makes more sense for his name rather than being an F1 racer (with a bad waist joint, no less!)

Yeah ok, I get the point. I just recall this one driver talk in a interview about how easy it was to wipe out in a F1 racer. I guess they were either exaggerating, or I misremembered.

I still couldn't see one of those things going off road.

Granted...I don't see them using any kind of F1, or race car related vehicle for Mirage if he was in the movieverse. Here is why, and I am not gonna say "because THIS isn't G1": the issue is, the Movie Autobots, aim to keep the whole "Disguise" thing just that, a disguise. The Autobots would know, it would be too freaking obvious for a F1 race car making a day to day drive out in the middle of anywhere. Sports cars...yes, obnoxiously huge trucks and semis...yes. So, in my thought, that is why I don't think they will make him a F1 or race car of any means. I can see if anything, something like Altertnators Fort GT.

The Caparo T1 would be a more affordable choice at only £235k. Has the look of Mirage without the obvious pitfall of "WTF is a formula 1 car doing driving down the road".

Plus, it has a windscreen/shield over it's seat which they could tint so they wouldn't have to worry about making a mustache guy for the Autobots.

Plus, DAYUUUUMMMMNNNN!!! That thing is sexy!
