If I can get a G1 Prime and Magnus but with no accessories like Fists and guns and Magnus is missing one leg/back ramp piece, what would be a good price?

They are in good condition it seems with no broken stacks or bumpers etc. They have their trailers but no accessories it seems. Which means also no fist sadly.. and for magnus that means no big fist either. But.. again they look to be in good condition chrome and piece wise.

What would be a good price for the set? Like what do you think would be good and what would be too high?

 

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't really bother buying G1 figures that are missing so many pieces. If you want them complete, tracking down the extra parts will probably end up costing more in total than buying a complete bot outright. If you just want them for vehicle mode displays though, it'd be great.

Also, try & get at least one prime fist. You can stick a missile or something into one hand, but that won't work for both, and yeah... Alt modes would be fine though.

 

Actually, Prime and Magnus parts aren't really that hard to come by. Between the two figures, it's the gas pump nozzle with Prime that's the hardest to find. Both figures are fairly common.

 

That's all the more reason to buy complete.

I bought the 25th anniversary Prime reissue at retail on sale for $30 CDN. I just bought a G1 Ultra Magnus without glass in the in chest, plastic tires and no paint for $6.

*This is my vintage G1 with paint, tires and windsheild glass.

 

I'd pass, reissues are pretty cheap anyway; just wait and see if anything pops up in the B/S/T

$10? I would say that is a bit low.

 

for both base figures missing that much $10 seems about right, you can get a complete magnus for 60, and prime for not much more if you look around, accessories on the other hand will set you back about $5 each

 

I agree with ya, but I can also see that some people enjoy getting a figure and tracking down the parts. I'm typically not one of those people, but those are simply my own biases. The only way I'd impose such is if my advice would be more helpful (like buying a complete Vroom or not, since parts are extremely difficult to find for such a rare figure).

Also, I went with the presupposition that the op did not want a reissue but wanted originals.

I have Prime Fist. I have 2 NY Primes. Though those are reissues... so I know it's kinda "Cheating" But I can still have an original G1 Prime and Magnus then.

I could easily buy reissues. I should have been more specific in my original post saying I only wanted Classic G1. Not Reissues. I already have NY edition Prime.  

In this case I'm wanting genuine G1 not reissues.

I am just wondering if I should include them in the lot or not. Since I'll be getting others I was wondering if I should include them in and adjust the price. Even if they aren't complete they are really nice and intact (figure wise) and seem to be in really good condition. So to me they are still worth it. Just am not sure of what to suggest for the price.

 

If you're getting them in a lot of things, you should be able to get them for a really good deal. The $10 each price would be a good swing. If the seller declines, just counteroffer with something a bit higher.

You may end up spending just a bit for parts, but you may find the hunt fun.

 

I sold a near complete Magnus (only missing 2 of the 4 red missiles) on ebay for $60. It was G1.

 

IMHO complete and mint loose figures for me only...

On topic, if they are really cheap, it might be a good idea to buy them and see if you find them worth paying more money for complete ones.

I am interested, but shipping from Portugal to the US will be a fortune, unless i am mistaken. I am looking to spend around $50-$60 for it shipped.

Also, I have been looking, at this point in time, there are no UM for $60 that are in good shape.
