i see many people wishing Glen and maggie from the first movie had appeared in the sequels, so i just would liek to know if you were in charge of ROTF and DOTM what type of role and such you would had give them in those 2 movies?

I don't know, I don't really recall seeing much of "Gleen" in any of the three movies. Was he an Autobot or a Decepticon?

A typo is a mistake. Mistakes aren't consistent.

But being a prick is. Checking someone's location takes about 1/4 of a second, it's right there under their avatar. If the location isn't predominantly English-speaking, and you knew what they were trying to say, just leave it and either reply to the question or don't say anything at all.

Anyway, OP, I'd have enjoyed seeing Maggie or at least a mention of her in one of the sequels. I could take or leave Glen, though; he didn't add anything to the movie, in my opinion.

They're cool, but the guys I really miss are Tom Banacheck [the director of Sector 7] and Secretary Keller [the secretary of defense].

In fact, if you take a closer look at the third film, Mearing briefly mentions only the director of Secytor 7 [Banacheck] knew about the moon project.

Which means, his fate only becomes more intriguing now.

Maggie was the best female character in the entire trilogy. I'd have relished her reappearing in ROTF and DOTM, perhaps as a NEST electronic countermeasures expert (with Glen as her assistant).

You could likewise not reply to someone who provided a response you may not favor. Just leave it and either reply to the thread creator's question or don't say anything at all.

    EXCELLENT point!

Even after disbanding Sector Seven out of shame (or whatever) following the events of the first film, it really doesn't make sense for him to have not been folded into S7's replacement when they picked up the pieces with NEST. He was clearly pretty well on top of things...as much as he was able to be at the time, that is.

At least the absence of Keller makes sense insofar as he was Bush's Secretary of Defense and wouldn't necessarily have carried over to Obama's cabinet for the sequels anyway.

    But, yeah...they were missed.

    I don't get it....i don't watch the show so i don't get it.

Glen and Maggie would be at Morshower's side with radio contact and computer info or soemthing like that.

LOL I totally had to look up who Glen and Maggie were I totally forgot!!
Guess they weren't that memorable to me. I read somewhere that the actress who plays Maggie was offered her role in ROTF but she turned it down for unknown reasons. Anthony Anderson is in so many things now adays that if they had offered him a role too its possible that he may have had a scheduling conflict.
But more on topic, if Glen and Maggie were in ROTF I think the movie wouldn't have been 2 1/2 hours because they would have figured everything out in 2 minutes.
In DOTM honestly, they probably would have gotten killed in the decepticon invasion in Chicago, that is of course if Sam didn't hook up with Maggie after Micheala dumped him.

is it just me or does the actress who plays Maggie totally sound and LOOK like Nicole Kidman. Besides the whole Australian accent thing her tone of voice and even her looks just totally reminds me of Nicole Kidman.

Actually he would have considering the movies presidents are the same as real life.

Robert Gates was the same Sec. Def for President Bush as was for President Obama. He retired in July though. Which is why Leon Panetta is the new Sec Def.

If Keller were still around it would have been a nice nod to how hes based on Gates by having him being one month from retirement and having to deal with this Decepticon invasion since Gates announced in August 2010 he was going to retire in July of 2011. Would have had plenty of time to shoot some extra little scenes of such.

There CAN be holdovers like that, sure. But it's a position of presidential appointment (with approval of the Senate) and is at their discretion. Would it be smart to keep Keller around? Probably. But they didn't have to.

I felt their subplot in the first film was pretty superfluous, but I think it could have worked to continue their characters as more closely linked to the main action in the following films. At the very least, Maggie could have filled the role of "the hacker" in DOTM.
