I'm happy to see that Prime hasn't changed too much with E.J. Su's new vision for the TF's (see cover art for TF #6); hopefully Megatron will follow suit. It's funny though, 'cause up here in Toronto, the type of freightliner Prime is as a vehicle mode is pretty outdated and obsolete on our major highways. Maybe it's a different situation in the states?

Anyways, I was worried that IDW was tempted to change his torso to make him more relevant with respect to the newer designs for trucks today.

I'm liking EJ Su's art more and more. And I'm starting to like Guido's abilities as a cover artist; hopefully it translates well in sequential art which I didn't think was too great when he worked for DW on Armada.

I think all TF artists are overdoing the "Bumblebee gettin' blown up" schtick. It's getting boring...

He's better off than Huffer, who gets his tailpipe handed to him on an even more regular basis, but doesn't even make the cover! He's like the Transformers' Steve Buchemi, the guy who dies in every movie he's in...

Anyone else think that Bumblebee's head looks more like Unicron than BB on that cover? Fear the rise of UNIBEE (or Bumblecron...your choice)!

I already have them too. But I will forsake every toy between now and June if that's what it takes to be able to get it all in one nice hardcover volume. That series absolutely SCREAMS to be collected in one big old thick heavy encyclopedia of Transformery goodness.

I haven't really been keeping up with the new comics(I only have #0), but why so many friggin covers? I thought I read that they weren't going to put out 50 covers for every single issue like DW did? That was when they got the license, though.....maybe I read wrong?

Yay! Prime without breasts or portholes!

    [edit]

    Re: Covers...

    a) Gives people the choice -- I know I enjoy being able to pick a favourite artist.
    b) Different covers attract the eye of different people in-store.
    c) Gives a bit of employment to artists screwed over by Dreamwave.
    d) Some people do enjoy collecting covers.

And IDW actually give a shit about what's between the covers, which is all that matters.

Two covers would be enough for me. And I do like collecting the covers...but not when there is like 6 or 7 of each one. It frustrates me, as a collector, because I can't purchase them all. Especially when they go up to 70 bucks.

That is just the way I feel, though, I guess.

Indeed, it will make for an excellent bathroo...I mean living room read.:D

Joking aside, I don't have to go through my original issues for reference! Plus, I would believe this edition would be more available at stores like Barnes and Nobles for me to pick up.

Maybe this time the *creators* will have a taste of the proceeds, not the Porsche dealer.

It would be nice if the hardcover included all the profiles from the 3H and Fan club comics.

I'm less than thrilled with the news of the MTMTE hardcover. I missed out on #3. Before the TPBs came out, it was hard to find it for a reasonable price. When the TPBs came out, I didn't want to buy Vol. 1 just for #3's contents. When IDW announced that they would reprint Marvel and Dreamwave material, I held out some hope that they would reprint the individual MTMTE issues.

    Dang.
