The only Transformer comics I've read was 'Classic UK Vol. 1'

I didn't think much of the artwork & was a bit 'meh' with the story...

So this being my first read through, should I go with the 'I want it all' list?

Is it necessary to go back and read through the Marvel UK & US stuff, then Dreamwave stuff before, starting this list? Or is this a fresh start?

 

IDW (as in the IDW on the list, not the classics reprints) is a fresh start, depending how much reading you want to do, the "get me to the new hotness" list is a fine place to start.

 

Thanks   I eventually want to read everything, but it's great that you took the time to put these lists together, keep up the good work, otherwise people like me wouldn't know where to start!

... For some reason I never noticed 'Comic Strips'  

 

So I think I'm ready to bite the bullet on reading MTMTE from the beginning (I got all of Dark Cybertron during its Comixology sale and have physical copies of all the current season 2 books.)

I'll probably end up getting the IDW collections when they come out, but really want to jump back into the back issues NOW. Is there any reason to get the digital collected volumes of MTMTE over the individual issues or vice versa? Given what I currently have on Comixology the individuals are cheaper by a few bucks, but if the collected come with some extras they might be worth the extra few.

 

Is there a list of Trades in reading order?

Yup, I always get a bit slack when its just updating sequentially. (Ie it was missing #29,#30)

I've added Punishment where I think it goes though.

Nope, that list includes essentially all the "required reading" that you'll need to understand and enjoy the current comics.

Ok so I recently found only 2 books Volume 1 of Robots in Disguise and Volume 1 of More than Meets the eye at a local store. I really like them despite not reading what happened before, and decided to see if I can get the rest of the IDW comics. So searching online I found the Transformers: The IDW Collection Volumes, now do those start from the very beginning and follow in order? Or should I get each volume listed separately?

I can't believe I never read these before I'm hooked! XD
