Yeah, that's clearly Galaxy Convoy inspired chest. Three different artists can't be doing the same unless they're given the same design.

I think we know what the upcoming armor up Leader Optimus Prime will be like.

They’re probably all going by what Hasbro wants them to use.

Prowl looks badass on these covers.  Hopefully we get a different, but still complex, look at his character.

This is the first thing I've been excited about so far. I love Sara's work and I'm stoked to see they're hiring her to continue producing TF artwork. I hope a lot of the artists from the original run get to work their magic on this one, too, though I do understand that IDW wants this new continuity to stand as something new and give new artists a chance to shine. Still, don't throw away all that established talent completely!

Wow that looks so much better than that art of a few days ago. We need Sara Pitre-Durocher to do more of the covers.

    Agreed.
The other covers are sort of stagnant. Just 'bots standing there posing without anything going on. Which is fine, but after a run of Milne and Roche and Sara and Lawrence's covers, etc etc... it seems very static. I'm not really complaining, since I think new artists might need some time to get comfortable drawing these characters and whatnot. Hasbro might have even directed them to keep it "contained" for now. But look at Sara's cover... it, too, is mostly of 'bots standing around but she made it dynamic despite that- from the angle and depth of the landscape, use of light, and the fact that Prime is stepping forward. It's just a much more dynamic cover, even without any extreme action or expression going on. There's a sense of impending action and tension, though.

(Ha, and on a side note, am I the only one who looks at that tiny silhouette figure behind Windblade and thinks Onslaught with his twin cannon "backpack"?)

Right. They have to be going off pics of the toys or the designs they dictate. Hasbro has mentioned before they work 2 years out so they definitely know who will be through part 3 and how they will look. Interesting to see this reversal of designs from comics to toys after the way IDW operated from that one reboot.

Yay! Sara is back! Another one of my favourite artists! I hope she continues to work on the series. I loved her work in TAAO. So simple but expressive.

The idea I’ve heard people saying is that he could be more investigative in this version. With the murder and what not. Still have him be logical. Less of a prick though.
    I know! She’s great!

Damn SPD is a fantastic talent. That cover is the best I've seen so far.

Not necessarily. They're still essentially enforcing Windblade as "core cast", and that's basically her original body illustrated here.
