RE: Artists: different people like different things and that's good.

As for me I am confused as to some of the color choices Josh Burcham makes.

Not a hater just more a "ummmm why that"? Kind of thing.

He likes to claim he does, but no, he does not.

My only concern is that we don’t start with the 1984/85/86 guys again.. at least have a few characters from 1987-1990 and beyond.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if they use Seige to kick it off..

Anyone who doesn't insert their own OC-DO NOT STEAL character and make them the center of the universe.

    Roberts, I agree.
Scott. She had some good ideas, but most got wasted in her pursuit or Hasbro's edict to make everything about Starscream.
    Barber. No.
He had some good stuff going with Prowl and Galvatron after Dark Cybertron, but before and after that it also seemed like he was following Hasbro edicts most of the time.
And I'm not just talking about TF titles.
I'm talking GI Joe, Mask, Revolutionaries and all that jazz.

Roberts writing became almost a flanderization of his own style, with pop culture references out of the wazoo. Plus, his really annoying habit of making his OCs super-duper important. People hated Drift when he first showed up, but I find Rung to be far worse.

I mean, for crying out loud, he's friggin'
    god.

Well, he was far from perfect :p
But I still liked him a lot.
The overpowered OC's were a problem.
But I never really had a problem with Rung.
Do you object to him because he made him this ongoing mystery plotpoint.
That was a bit meh, I agree. But no major nuisance to me.

Barber is the editor in Chief now.
Roberts has already said he's taking a break (well deserved)
I'd love to see Mairghred Scott come back.
Same goes for Nick Roche (as a writer)
Furman is honestly out of ideas from what I've seen.
Costa would be happier on a Gijoe book

And I'd especially love it if the current stable of artists all came back.
Except for Fico Ossio and Livio Ramondelli. Not saying g they need to be fired, just don't put them on a Transformers book ever again.

I'm actually really looking forward to it. I feel like IDW kinda screwed up when they started doing cross-overs and having multiple comics on the go at the same time the last 2 or 3 years. I think there first few years were the best. I loved All Hail Megatron and the Spotlight comics were a great idea. MTMTE felt like it went on for too long in a universe that already needed a restart but it was the stand out star of the last few years... and I say that as some one who still isn't crazy with Megatron the autobot.

Technically we don't know that for sure. Unless you read the newest issue of Lost Light ahead of everyone else, then shame on you for spoiling.

I hate when any writer takes an on-going series or story and inserts some new character whose past is all mysterious and important, or super powerful. It's just my least favorite cliche or trope.

Oh, no. Considering Roberts very obvious dislike of religion in general, I'm sure it won't be Rung being all-powerful, etc.

Fuck. The moment I saw th...
Good to know: If you want to respond to a post with a spoiler tag, you are going to see what's behind the spoiler tag.
But I was going to say: I knew suddenly what was behind the spoiler tag without looking as soon as I saw it.
    His color suddenly made sense.
I still don't really mind though.
I mind it more that there is such a thing in Transformers fiction.

I still think IDW should have lost the license, but whatever. I’m done with TF comics as soon as the current continuity is finally put out of its misery.

Is that Winnebago bodykit joke from something? It sounds like it's from something.

The rumor was nothings coming from the mouth of absolute nobodies that were so stupidly angry they tried to write coporate socio-political fan-fiction to pass it off as "behind the scenes" drama that agreed with their agenda.

It was pathetic, and it's even more so now that they didn't even get a lucky guess.

Whatever it is, given the lead times of comics, the first issue is probably already in production. Wonder if it's going to be a "mirror the current toyline" kind of thing, which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

THese are (probably) 20 page comics. I think that we should worry about them establishing their own new status quo before worrying about them laying foundations for MASK, Joe, etc. regardless of if they decide to do a Hasbroverse 2.
