So in the Rom annual apparently his armor was formed by a mysterious ore found on his homeworld. I'm wondering if it could be one of Shockwave's regenesis ores. There's still seven unaccounted for so it's plausible.
Revolutionaries construes to be a fast paced action comic that ties up some loose ends, brings the team together and sets up later stories.
Well this probably hurts the Hasbroverse. Marvel Files Opposition To Hasbro Over Dire Wraiths Trademark
Okay, I've done extensive research on this and no, Marvel did NOT create the Dire Wraiths. They were first mentioned in a 1979 Toy Fair video, which happened BEFORE the Marvel comic was ever released.
Finally decided to drop MASK. There's way too many page layout errors for me not to be bothered. I honestly don't care about the story anymore. Miles is such a generic villain and I see no reason why I should care about the MASK team. The ending to today's issue was just stupid. Spoiler So Matt's mom who we haven't even seen outside of one flashback shows up to stop Matt from killing Miles because reasons only for Miles to end up killing her anyway. Why do I have a feeling they're going to say Miles is Matts real father or something stupid like that?
When Trakker's mom came running in, I rolled my eyes. What was she even doing there AND how did she know to be there? The only time we've seen her was in a flashback page in the Revolution tie-in, I think. The arts still hit or miss for me. And it looks like they still can't get the Shark's color right. Is it white, orange, or blue? Make up your mind! It seems that every Hasbroverse comic gets through the editor, EXCEPT this one.
With the way you guys are describing MASK, I am almost tempted to hate-read it. Unfortunately I don't want to pirate it or support it with my money, so I guess I'll have to wait until I stumble across the trade in a bookstore or library to flip through it.
Revolutionaries 3 was OK though I wish there were less action scenes and more of the team interacting with each other. GI Joe 3 was good too and I totally called the reveal with Doc in that issue. I wish all of the books would have a more consistent release schedule. Didn't read the MASK Annual since I'm tired of the series.
The annual wasn't half bad. I found it much better then the main series. Though we have no idea when it takes place. Because it was a G.I. Joe team up, we get a status update on Destro. Who appears to be out doing his own thing. Also, we get an update on the status of a recently deceased Spoiler Astrotrain. It was great to see Andrew Griffth back.
That's kind of odd although it would be nice if the main comic got a reboot with a new writer, but the Diamond catalog for the next few months (including the start of a new arc) doesn't inspire confidence. I may grab the MASK annual digitally later to support Griffith, and I hope he continues to get work.
Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I've been missing Karza a lot in the post Revolution Micronauts issues (them stuck on Earth has been kind of meh so far) so I'm ready to get him back doubly so with Griffith's art.
