I still don't get it. Is this a continuation of the StormBringer, Infiltration, Escalation, Devastation, and All Hail Megatron series, or another reboot?

And come to think of it, isn't the StormBringer, Infiltration, Escalation, Devastation, and All Hail Megatron series count as an ongoing series? I mean it was ongoing, from one volume to the next.
So what's the big deal with this one?

Looks good. Anything not movieverse (I like bayformers, but enough is enough) is all right with me.

So long as this doesn't ignore Furman's work quite so much as All Hail Megatron did (not that I haven't enjoyed AHM, because I did), I shall be happy little human-shaped bunny.

There is no possible way I will support this new ongoing series. I cannot stand Don's new style and the fact that it is a reboot has sealed the deal. FAIL IDW....FAIL!

You're forgetting the Spotlights and you really can't call it ongoing without including them. They were a way to cram out more books per month and flesh out characters, but then they started being used as prologues to future plot threads. Until they threw 75% of that in the toilet and contradicted the other 25% with AHM, that is.

Also, Maximum Dinobots should be included, which primarily serves as Furman's IDW epilogue.

Reboot, after AHM, which was itself a reboot.

Why bother? They're going to tell one story, and then reboot again.

Maybe all stories should be self contained. That way every issue can be a "jumping on point" which they seem to need frequently.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

That's right, I did forget the Spotlights and Maximum Dinobots.
So basically this is IDW's SECOND ongoing TF series.

So why are they trying to hype it up like it's all that big of a deal?

I mean, yea, I'll probably read it, but I'm not jumping for joy over it.
