Wait, what? It says that IDW publishes stuff based on Star Wars. Did Marvel stop doing that? Why would Disney have an outside company do Star Wars?

Nope; Marvel still does Star Wars. But they weren't interested in publishing the all-ages stuff so IDW picked it up.

...suffice to say Marvel's management is dumb in this regard; they're owned by Disney and yet most Disney properties are licensed out to others.

That does give me some confidence that the relaunch could be good!

He was one of the driving forces responsible for trying to fix and make sense out of the continuity mess left by the early IDW Transformers comics, it will be good to have him at the helm of the entire IDW comic slate following this new relaunch.

It's been a rough few months between IDW and Hasbro. Glad they finally made this official. Barber was hand picked by Hasbro to fix the publisher's content and their relationship with the toy company. This will do a lot to ease the minds of IDW's investors as well.

I can think of no one better. There was a severe drop in quality when he stepped down from the editor role on the Hasbro books.

Good. He's always been a far superior editor than writer.

Yay! Barber's a great editor, this actually gives me hope that the next set of comics will be more interesting again.

    Corporate Says, “Relax, Fandom.”

But, I’m still a bit worried that Hasbro might use the reboot to force the Cross Franchise antics into an even more flush and inate proximity to one another.

Still, I’d like to be a little optimistic that we might, otherwise, see more Cross Conitunity Stories, like Drift - Empire of Stone for instance and for the love of Beastformers.
