Volume 1: It's a giant, cumbersome book, but I love it. Printing the stories more or less chronologically (which can be challenging to keep up with), and in larger-than-trade format on superior materials.

I know some people complained that the book's heft made it tough to read, which is true, but it's the ultimate way to collect these stories. "Vol. 1", though, implies more to follow. Does anyone know if we'll be seeing a "Vol. 2?" Seems like they've covered (at least) enough ground to fill an equal-sized book:

    1) Megatron: Origin (okay, so this isn't chronological, but I think most people can get around that. (4 issues)

    2) Devastation (6 Issues)

    3) "new" Spotlights (8 Issues)

    4) All Hail Megatron (In progress, 12 issues total)

    FORTHCOMING:

    5) Revelation spotlights (4 issues)

    6) Maximum Dinobots (8 issues)

SKIP Avengers Crossover (Marvel probably owns the rights, and it was mediocre semi-canon at best).

Is it possible that since "Revelation," "Maximum Dinobots," and Grimlock and Wheelie Spotlights come chronologically before "All Hail," they're waiting to print them in chronological order?

Were it me in charge, I'd end Vol. 2 with Revelation (at 22 issues, Vol. 1 was also 22) and save Spotlights Grimmy and Wheelie, Maximum and All Hail for vol. 3. That gives them 22 issues toward Vol. 3 right off the bat!

Perhaps Don or someone else at IDW can give some info :)

All I know is that I've been deliberately not buying any IDW TF comics until I know what's going on with Volume 2. If Volume 2 comes out, I will get it; if not, I will get the appropriate TPBs.

I think I remember Ryall saying he'd love to see another one, but nothing concrete yet.

I really, really, really hope they continue these. Volume 1 was fantastic. My other major hobby is classic comic strips, in which lovingly compiled, oversized hefty hardcover collections are common (indeed, IDW themselves have been responsible for some of them). Having that slavish attention to detail and quality put into Transformers sort of crosses my two worlds and is such a pleasant surprise. I hope it sold well and wasn't a one off.

I suspect if they do more Premiere books that a Vol 2 would include Megatron Origin, Devastation, Revelation, and fill out with the rest with Spotlights. All Hail Megatron could anchor a third volume later down the road.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, what with them printing the Premiere books roughly in order of timeline, not in order of release. All Hail is the current arc, but the next 2 arcs come chronologically before it.
