Chris Ryall led a panel at Wizard World, he talked a little about some of the upcoming TF projects there. You can read the whole article, which also goes into IDW's other books, here, at Comic Book Resources.

    Also:

They've also got the Megatron: Origin Issue 2 Cover, and some art of pre-Earth Hound from the Galvatron Spotlight, designed by Guido.

I assume it is something to do with his gladiatorial roots.
And good eye on spotting Cy-Kill, I missed that!

I figured that Megs used to be a construction vehicle, myself.

    Thus the markings.

lol I thought that was Cy-Kill when I saw the pic. The mini-series looks like it's going to be awesome.

Also, that Hound art is badass.

Poor poor Cy-Kill. Anytime he's shown in a Transformers comic he's torn apart.:lol

well well well.. to me that looks like megatron was a miner! look at his pickaxe and his surroundings in the second picture.. also look at soundwave in the background with the yellow and black stripes too.

rising up and overthrowing his autobot masters eh.. who'd have thought it, megatron is a rebel hero :)

my guess is that he works in an energon mine slaving away all day to get energy for the autbots, and decides 'fuck this, im not working for them, i'm being my own boss and taking it for myself'

Well, he aint a miner character anymore.

Wow. I can't believe I actually made that joke. I am ashamed.

    lol, Cy-kill officially pwned.

I really was wondering what's up with all the warning stripes all over Megatron... Guess he's a blue collar bot after all. And Soundwave, too, weird... I think I can even make out Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Starscream in there as well, Apparently the Decepticons really did crawl out of a hole in the ground. This should be an interesting read.

Nice art. Funny, everytime I see a GoBot in a TF comic the GoBot is getting -or has already been- torn apart. Oh well...

I know it doesn't mean anything, but him being a construction-type vehicle is perfect in regards to him being created or whatever by the Constructicons in the cartoon. :D

I don't know how you were able to make sense of that overly busy artwork, but now I do see Cy-Kill laying down there on the ground. What's with the continual disrespect towards the Go-Bots?

I've got a feeling this might mess up the Guardian/Renegade story I had been (slowly) cooking over at the Fiction boards...

Well the action steps up another notch.
Interesting to see confirmation that Galvatron IS in Spotlight: Nightbeat, connected to the First Ark, NOT Megatron, has a cameo in Escalation 5 (what's the bet it's Nightbeat's programming being activated?).

AND events in Spotlight: Galvatron feed directly into the Spotlight: Unknown Autobot that Ryall has dropped hints about.

Guido's art is INCREADIBLE! I LOVE the way he captures the clean, simple and beautiful style of the G1 cartoon. He should draw EVERYTHING. (Well, him and Don can split everything, and I'd die happy. :)  )

It's cool to see Cy-Kill again but I wish someday we could see him actually as a character rather than just an easter egg. (unlikely I know, but I'd love it)

More IDW goodness to look forward too.

I do miss Galvatron in his UK comic and Toy Colours though :'(
