    Hello chaps!

This is something I`ve been working with some enthusiasm though the work it's just about a head swap and a few adaptations to the fusion cannon and other minor stuff.

This will be my IDW Megatron, which turns into some sort of F117 fighter.

I Know the IDW original concept is a B2 stealth Bomber, but I think this one is just as awesome as the original concept. The robot mode is very imponent and really nails the character.

Honestly I dunno if this mold is a K.O. of some sort of macross, all I can say is that it's awesome, plastic is resistant and the articulations are fine.

He's almost done, still have to give him some knee pads and I'll be painting him soon in black, with a few purple details and red for the cockpit windshields.

The only downside is that I had to cannibalize my Classics Megatron because I needed his head. R.I.P.

C&C will be apreciated as usual and thanks for looking!

I really can't wait to see this painted up. The mold fits perfectly, and is instantly recognizable as Ongoing Megatron.

Looks like a KO VF-117 (if I am not mistaken the numbering), but damn, this custom looks good.

Great idea. I have this mold too (got it as part of an ebay lot so I too have no idea what it is but it does feel ko-ish) and may have to copy this.

Also makes me wonder if the mindwipe/strafe mold would be good for this as well.

Thanks a lot guys I really thought you guys would like it. This mould screams IDW Megatron.

    This is the original mold:

Yes, he features this incredible huge and ridiculous head, but once you remove it he sure turns into a very cool mould.
Make sure that if you remove the head, part of the top fuselage will be vanished as well so all you have to do is to save the back side of the head and adaptate a ratchet thing or a folding piece on it for the altmode. It`s quite easy.

I dig the idea, and the mold looks p.cool,I think the current silver/black camo paintjob would rather work for Megs too,if you weren't going for IDW.
I just think the legs are abit too thin, and take abit of the imponent look away,it'd be cool if you could beef his legs up a bit IMO.

your megatron is looking awesome and I cant wait to see it all painted up

Thanks for finding this. I was wondering where it came from.
Inspired by this work, I started working on my "galaxy defender" guy...
I used a coping saw on him and saved the huge face for later use for
a combiner or other giant figure... it's really not bad, it's just WAY
oversized for this guy. I saved the back part of the head and
just glued it to the "cape". Now all I need is a suitable Megs
    head.
