Transformers Last Stand Of The Wreckers
Better pic of the cover (I hope).
I'm guessing that's Universe Whirl, but in Rotorstorm's colors.
Well Nick Roche did say he wanted to show the ever changing roster of the Wreckers, and I believe he said some more familiar wreckers wouldn't show up or would not be part of the team, so really it could be Rotorstorm. Which I would hope more than it being Whirl since it looks just like Rotorstorm.
sportin his pink shades
Who are the 3 in the back? I only recognize Springer, Kup, Perceptor & Rotorstorm(thanks to Josh's clarification on him)
Ironfist, The incredibly hard-to-find-pictures-for Pyro and Guzzle. Ironfist and Pyro were UK/Europe/Australasia-exclusive G1/G2 toys, like Rotorstorm.
Since this book is by Nick Roche, it will be totally worth the price of admission
Thanks, I actually just checked the Wiki's Wrecker's page I don't know squat about those guys, so it'll be interesting to see what Roche does with them.
Assumin' its not just hi and die... likely, but still... (unless if Roche breaks tradition XD)
Oh man I really like the art for that, no wonder Arcee chose Springer over Roddy
WHOO WRECK AND RULE!! I actually look forward to this!! Springer is just one of the most slept on badass characters in my opinion. And Kup with his "sparkplug"! Nice!
Has anyone been able to confirm or see a picture or preview that has Roadbuster in this series?
I'm pretty excited for this one!! Looks and sounds like it'll be a winner
Non-fugly art FTW.
I may pick this up.
Looking forward to this.
I like the art in this much more than that new ongoing series. I may decide to read this.
Now this, I'm buying.
The Transformers actually look like I expect them to look.
i'm sick of this "fan favourite" bollocks. all that phase means is, "appears quite frequently".
according to the comic makers, anyone given a job on TF comic property is a fan favourite. what's the point?
Oh, absolutely. Practically the only reason for the roster of second-stringers is to have them die in horrible/dramatic ways over the course of the series... making the Wreckers a true Magnificent Seven/Suicide Squad type group, going out in a blaze of glory, leaving only Steve McQueen and Yul Brynner... er, Springer and Kup... to ride into the sunset at the end.
Sorry Nick... but just for the record, we're calling it now.
Actually, in this case it really is accurate... Nick Roche has appeared as a writer only on 2 brief occasions, but both instances were met with very strong reader accolades for his characterizations, and a genuine sense of anticipation for seeing more material from him. So in this sense, he is a sort of fan favourite... finally getting a chance to break out and shine in a longer series.
...we hope. I've really liked what I've seen of Roche's writing, and I hope Last Stand delivers...
On the other hand, I personally have been pretty ambivalent to his artwork. I liked the look of his Prowl short story though...
im not to sure how you can have a wreckers book without topspin and twintwist....but i love nicks work....
ill be buyin for shizz
Nope Rotorstorm, and to be honest i think it's nice that obscure characters like Rotorstorm and Pyro are finally able to get some spotlight and characterisation.
