Never mind there's been a very active campaign for issue 81, AND Furman/Wildman are both keen to do it/have been bouncing around ideas.

TFA could be trickier - most fans would want Marty to write, and Derrick to be involved on some level with character designs. Though I get the impression Derrick is pretty busy nowadays and wouldn't necessarily have enough time. And both Marty and Derrick are not comics guys - they're animation people, so there might be scheduling conflicts as well.

Not for lack of desire, though; Marty and Derrick have made it clear they'd love to have something to do with the continuation of Animated if it gets off the ground.

Besides, judging by The Arrival series, there's plenty of artists who can fill in for Wyatt and produce the same caliber material (The Boo and Marcelo Matere, for instance). Also, Marty has comics experience, what with The Arrival (at least; I dunno what else he may have done), so that might not be an issue. (HA!)

As a Marvel Transformers fan first and foremost, I'm surprised to feel more excited about the two new ongoings spinning from Chaos than I am about #81. I feel "Modern Furman" isn't half the talent that "1980s Furman" was. Of course I'll still get it - I have every single Marvel comic story (inc. UK), and its my favourite continuity, but I'll echo what somebody else said: If Furman advances the story by 20 years, I'll be peeved. It will be less a real continuation and more of yet another "new" continuity. He should be gutsy and literally do a continuation from #80.

Marcelo I agree on but keep Boo away. His stuff looked like a Looney Tunes book.

That's Breakdown. We saw him back in what, issue one? Based on the Classics Sideswipe/Sunstreaker form? And wasn't Spike driving around in him locked in alt mode? Yeah.

I also saw posted on Full Metal Hero that the run will be 19 issues. But for all those who want this series, don't forget to get the 20th as well...

    81-100 = 20 issues ;)

Very excited about Marvel G1 continuation! Doubt I'll get the individual issues, I'll just wait for the inevitable TPB. That'll be a long wait for my lackluster sense of patience though ;)

I'm really excited for all of these.
The Marvel continuation will be fun - That run defined TF comics for me. There was just so much happening.
    RID seems really interesting.
More than Meets the Eye sounds great except for "the Death of Optimus Prime". This story has been done. It was precinct setting in the 80s, but no longer relevant.

You got a problem with Bugs Bunny? XD

Yeah, but the 'cons recovered him, and Swindle modded the Stunticons to combine into Menasor. I forget what happened to them after they were taken down, though.

I hope they continue Animated, too. This is indeed a GLORIOUS victory for TF fans. We managed to get IDW to do it! This is great!

Cool, generally good news out of this. I don't collect monthly comics any more, but I'll definitely be trade-waiting MTMTE, since I was very impressed with LSotW. Also going to pick up the Marvel G1 continuity restart series in TPB form.
