I was thinking on the Matrix Quest through #80 as well as IDW Spotlight Nightbeat and thought:

What sorcery! This is the same Nightbeat!

Do you think this is the case? I mean he gets Hardhead instead of Siren. But I can't really figure out the difference. It's not like he had a lot of character development in the Marvel Headmasters series since not much of that carried forward except for Scorpy and Fort Max.

Or, perhaps, Furman just can't let Nightbeat go...

    Why mess with what works?

Also, if you can check out the comic that came with the TCC Nightbeat.

And I didn't think he was in the HM mini, it came out a year before the toy did.

You get a bit more of nightbeat playing detective in the BnW stories of UK g1...earthforce?

I really like the dynamic of hosehead n siren getting pulled into nighbeats crime noir inspired adventure. He can be assigned to recover all the TF tech stolen by other species.

Nighbeat vs the mechanic in the case of the power spanner thingie!
Nightbeat and the case of carwash of doom
Nightbeat and mystery of the golden disk

    I could go on.

Nightbeat was awesome. Furman tends to love writing him, sorta like Grimlock. It's too bad that he was killed off in the IDWverse tho.

I love Nightbeat. Hardhead and Siren are very different but likeable partners for Nighty.

Hope we get him in the new continuation of Marvel G1.
