I can't make out the bot that Bee is fighting on the #2 cover. Any guesses? The image is too small.
By the head design it seems offly a lot like Ironhide
I'm just happy to see HOS return. I would kill to have that as an actual on going series.
I feel the same. But I'm also content with IDW not completely running it into the ground.
What - HoS?
Keep in mind though that it's the same writer/artist doing this followup to the original book.
I can't argue with that. IDW has a tendency to run things into the ground. The original HOS story left me desiring sooo much more though.
Really? I reread HOS story recently, and it didn't do much for me. The Autobots weren't in it enough or something. Aside from Bee, the only other time the bots get in the action in their choo choo forms is at the end and I think all you saw was Ironhide's arm pop out.
The best part of that for me was the beginning when they all had the beast modes
That alone must've been a pain for Guido to do. Re-design the Ark crew with beast modes and then again with choo choo modes
and it looks like Bee's gotten redesigned AGAIN to look a bit like the ongoing design
I am steampunk
Is that bot maybe a Predacon?
The best modes were so cool. They were drawn extremely well.
I think I enjoyed HOS because of how different it was. It was such a unique concept. I would love to see an ongoing series where we could see a full cast of characters.
If you look at the larger pic, I think it's almost certain that it's an "infected" Ironhide.
If they're just messing with HOS, then I guess it's not so bad. I was already annoyed by the intrusion of the first Infestation on the regular TF series... especially as it effectively severed a plot point that I really was looking forward to seeing followed up.
The whole "dimension-hopping sexy zombie woman" wannabe crisis thing is just stupid to me. As if the zombie shark hasn't been jumped enough already...
Yeah - this one's JUST going to be HoS.
Also, Infes2ation IS NOT zombies. It's the Elder Gods (Cthulhu) and their minions crossing over.
To whoever frontpaged this, it's not 'Love Craft', it's Lovecraft, as in H.P. Lovecraft.
back on track, I'm not sure I like them moving away from Bumblebee's excellent HOS design to something that seems to equally reference the awful ongoing redesign and his movie look. WHY?
Yeah, I know... but the first Infestation was leaning on the zombie aspect pretty hard. Bringing in Lovecraft also sort of bugs me... I kind of feel like Lovecraftian horror relies on a certain amount of mundane humanity for it's appeal. Elder Gods vs Star Trek and Transformers just feels out of place for me.
Though admittedly, if you're going to go that way, Hearts of Steel is the better way to go in terms of integrating Transformers into the 19th century gothic horror setting that Lovecraft belongs to.
do you think that this infestion is based of kathoulu?
anyone else notice Bee's new movie styled robot mode?
No Godzilla? Man, Godzilla vs Cthulhu would have been AWESOME!
