I think I'm a little late to the party with this guy. Other than Optimus, Jazz was the only car bot I had as a kid, so he holds a special place in my heart. I was happy to see how well IDW has been treating him, and I liked his redesign too, so here we have it. I say "IDW-esque" in the title since i didn't do any mods to match his body redesigns, such as the doors on the arms, flipped around lower legs and such, though i did remove the spoiler. Thinking about it now, the Classics Prowl body is definitely a better fit for an IDW Jazz, but i just love the RTS Jazz so much... and i didn't have a prowl handy.

All hand painted with GW paints, then the car parts were sprayed with gloss varnish. I ended up leaving the underside of the roof, as the blue matched the blue of the hood pretty well. I was going to put an insignia on his chest, but I'm just not really partial to insignias visible on earth type alt-modes... kind of kills the disguise part.

I really like that, got any shots from the back?

and if someone could figure out how to make the legs transform like IDW that would be awesome

I like this a lot. I personally find the G1 Jazz deco to be pretty busy and ugly. This is nice and simple while still looking the part of Jazz.

There is something very simple and elegant about this that I love, even above the original G1-style deco. Nice.

I really like this whiskeytango. Like, A LOT!!! Jazz looks really great like this. I usually miss his G1-style strips and numbers but this may have just changed my mind. The only thing I think he needs is the 'bot symbol on his chest/hood you left off but to each his own. He still looks good without it. Great work man!

I love that version. To obad you couldn't put the doors on his forearms like in the early mini-series. I did it with a Dead End custom I did with that mold, but either way, that is a dead-ringer for the IDW version and your paint job is spot on. Very nice man, I really like this. If you want to check out the look with the doors on the arms, you can check out my attachement (it's still a WIP). I REALLY like this version man, I'd try it if I had an extra.

I knew I never liked the spoiler, but damn. I never thought Jazz could look that good, even when cleaned up like you did. Also for what it's worth, it totally screams 350z now, which is definitely a good thing. I mean now, I don't even have a problem with the headlights. :)
