Rumor: Transformers / Avengers crossover

I thought this was mentioned previously? Or am i going mad and thinking of something else?...

 

You're probably thinking of an earlier Transformers/Justice League rumor that was floating around. Don't remember ever seeing that officially confirmed or denied.

 

I can just see the teaser ad now - A wall of webbing and in the middle, a big ol' arm-mounted fusion cannon blasting through it. At the bottom it reads:
WHO DARES ATTEMPT TO ENSNARE MEGATRON?!?
SUMMER 2007
Marvel logo over here............IDW logo over there

...this, of course, assuming Spidey will still be part of the Avengers by the time the movie hits.

 

It wouldn't be the first time Spidy and Megs tangled!

Well, they could have some fun and have Spidey be the only one who recognises the characters.

Oh, and Marvel still owns Circuit Breaker. They could bring her in somehow.

 

That would be interesting. And to use the same idea everybody seems to, they could use the Classics as post-G2 incarnations of the bots, thus keeping them in the same Marvel-G1-verse.

First Spidey, Marvel still denies it (alternate universe Spiderman).

Then G.I. Joe, well and least that's not denied, but it did start the "gun vs. tank" feud.

Then Star Wars, well, at least my Galaxy Force Convoy got a Light Saber out of the deal.   Also I can have Unicron vs. Death Star battles, etc. So far the most fun crossover, for me anyway. I like the SWTFs too. (Are the TF Attaktix done?)

I think the Avengers make about as much sense as the Justice League for a crossover. Still, the crossover business is starting to get ...unremarkable to say the least.

 

I wonder what will be the next cross-over:
Transformers and the gummy bears ?

The Transformers/Justice League rumor didn't pan out, so I'm not expecting this one to actually happen, either.

 

Transformers vs. Spawn!  

Everybody teams up with Spawn.

 

Sounds crummy.

But, I bought the fist Star Trek/X-Men crossover out of morbid curiosity. Could I do any less here?

I'm a weak, weak man.

 

JLA could destroy TFs, and TFs could destroy the Avengers. Neither is a crossover that works for me (without weak storytelling to 'adjust').

That being said, I'll admit I'll buy anything they publish. I even have Generations on my pull list...

 

Oh my gosh! The crap Humans put out these days. I think the Transformer/G.I. Joe cross over was cool and all we needed. What next Transformers meet Scooby-Doo in the mystery of who took the energon?

 

Iron Man's eyes are gonna bug out. Cap and Op would get along easily. Thor vs Shockwave would be short, but sweet. Ultron as a Decepticon would rock.
