i got an email from Amazon.com today, i had pre-ordered the IDW version of the marvel classics TPB volume 4 (the 1 with starscream on the cover). the email said it would be delayed until november 2nd - the 6th.

All or almost all of them have been delayed from the original Amazon release date. Nothing to worry about I think.

 

Yep... i've bought all six so far and they've all been delayed by about 2/3 weeks.... then they bring them forward again by about a week closer to release.

 

I guess I got mine just in time. I just finished ordering and receiving all released hardbacks from the amazon warehouse in the past month. I had no delays and they all arrived fairly quickly.

 

Um, he's talking about the Classics v4, which is NOT a hardback.

As for the delay - I had it in my head that it was being released November anyway, so this is fine with me

I broke down and bought the TPB. The stories were horrible. Now I see why I threw those comics in the trash back in '92.

 

Yes mostly just being a completist on my part. Plus I really wanted the Powermaster Optimus issue and to see Grimlock's dismissal as leader of the Autobots. He was quite a phallus as leader. Made the mistake of buying the other Transformers Classics Vol. 4 and now I have a jarring eight or nine issue gap in my digital collection.

 

Yup. That's what happened to me too.

 

I love these stories. The Marvel saga (US/UK) is the definitive TF interpretation for me.
