    Hey everyone,
Bought a lot of Transformers - and this guy was included. Looks to be a knock off Blaster type robot. Googled him, and didn't find anything for Blaster Knock offs.

    Any help?

Radio AM Robot from Argentina. Around '87 -ish.

    Nice score by the way.

I think he came with a weapon, maybe a sword....

    Ebay:
I honestly think that was offered as a "prize" for one of those sales things I did as a kid. remember they would send you a catalog full of crap, and you would go sell it, and depending on how much stuff you sold, you got to pick stuff as pay?

I did that crap....ALOT. pretty sure this was in one of those catalogs too, and I used to LOL at how much of a rip off it was of Blaster. Now I think its pretty cool.

Yours is in REAL nice shape too!

You sure you're not thinking of this one?

I remember seeing the one in the eBay links available as a prize for selling cards, calendars, other stuff, etc. as a kid - they used to advertise in comic books as well.

Like big hank said, the one in the original post is a legit, fully-licensed (from Hasbro by Comando Toys) Transformer from Argentina. It came in two color combos - red/black and blue/teal. Each came with a sword very similar to the one Megatron came with in Japan (upsized), if I'm not mistaken.

    Great find, for sure.

Thanks Engledogg, wasn't aware of the blue/teal variant.

And I was on the right track with the sword. I can picture it now and it was like Megatron's sword.

    Good info, thanks!
