hi guys,

this may seem a bit odd, but I had one interesting dream last night regarding the topic above. don't laugh, here it is:

in that dream, I was watching a Decepticon-centered episode. I know so because I'm watching it through Soundwave's eyes. he's in the ship and we're watching everything through his eyes (first person). you can see the inside of the ship as Soundwave interacts with everything, which is kinda like a video game.

Megatron was talking to him and he "communicated" by playing clips to him (and us)... and then... and then my wife woke me up.

when I woke up, I realized that it is a cool idea and it makes perfect sense. as Soundwave doesn't talk and is the ultimate observer, he's the perfect candidate to give us an exclusive insider's view of the Decepticons.

so, dear TFP writers, if you're reading this, how about doing it?

p.s. I guess that dream is a clear sign that I'm too much in love with the show.

2. Any episode with more Decepticons and/or Soundwave is fine by me.

The shows never go into the Decepticons like the comics did and do. At least, not anymore. The Decepticons are starting to feel like a joke. They need to kill some humans or destroy a city. All they're doing is hunting some relics which belong to their species. I'm sure they will put those to sinister use, but still. They just don't feel threatening.

 

I like the idea, but on a related note, I'm more curious as to why I never get to have awesome Transformer-related dreams. =/

 

The Secret Life of Decepticons, as Told by Soundwave? Bring it on.

 

I'd love that. In a similar vein, I've always had the idea that, in the final episode of Prime, as the last scene closes the camera zooms out to reveal Soundwave's face playing the scene and that the whole story was shown as recorded by Soundwave. Cheesy as heck, I know  

 

I would firetrucking LOVE to see an episode like this. It'd be AWESOME  

 

It would be like a found footage episode. Pretty cool.

Sure!   If there's one Decepticon that needs an episode dedicated to him it's Soundwave!   Though I guess the upcoming episode that he's in with Ratchet and Wheeljack may be the clostet we'll get for now.

KayeMinor, I agree with your point. If we see things they way the Decepticons see it, the character's dynamic will change. and more importantly, the way we see the characters' plight will drastically change too!

hahaha... yup. if that cheesy ending is used in the end, Soundwave could possibly only be the last Cybertronian standing. ehem... Soundwave: Superior, everyone?

I also really liked the idea someone had a while back about Soundwave being revealed to be the real big bad somewhere down the line, and with Megatron pretty much filling a role/being the only one to know or something of the nature, as that idea in itself honestly blew me away, even before thinking very much into how the execution would work. If the person reading this thread came up with that shit or knows who did, please let me know hah.

It depresses me how some fanboy dream DOES sound better than most prime episodes.

 

This would be a master stroke.

Maybe an episode through the visor of Soundwave could feature a moment of awesome foreshadowing in hindsight, kind of like Wheelie saying "Oh, this is the one where Spock goes nuts." when watching TV at the beginning of DOTM....except with more subtle gravity and less annoying comic relief.

 

I'll join in to the thread, but I really have nothing to say but . I'd love a good Decepticon focused episode.
