    ice scream anyone? updated 2/7/09

hi there! this is my first custom that ive done in chrome. i call this piece ice scream due to his iced out chrome suit (bad pun, i know  ) anyhoo.. the pictures came out nice but there are flaws.. this was just a test as i try to perfect my technique working with chrome. more projects are in the pipeline so stay tuned. enjoy!

    UPDATE 2/7/09:

It looks incredible. I'm hoping it's not alclad, because I've been screwing with that stuff for a while, and can't seem to get this type of result...*hopes its not*

I was going to guess it was Alsa, but I'm curious to what you used.

I doubt it. That stuff is overrated. I've tried it, and it wasn't any better than the Chrome in a spray can. In fact, I'd say it was worse.

You didn't do it right then....I have a megatron that's almost as "chromy" as this one, I'll be posting it soon. Plus, I've been using Alclad for over a year, it never disappoints. I've used on many past customs, best stuff I can find.

You're probably right. It very well could have been user error. However, I did not own a air brush system before, and the one I bought to experiment had a wide spray. The whole bottle of Allclad was gone in a few minutes. Considering the less than stellar results I got, and the money I spent, it was not worth pursuing and perfecting. I prefer my paint already in a can that sprays.

And I've never gotten results nearly as "chromy" as this, I've gotten results just as "chromy" as this with the stuff right out of a can.
