My co workers are big DC fans so those characters get brought up a lot. Add to that, the best super hero cartoons is the DCAU...

I want a really good X-Men cartoon on the air so I have something awesome too. Evolution was good but not as good as Justice League. Wolverine and the X-Men has good animation but I don't love the high concept. The 90's cartoon hasn't aged all that well.

I need a good classic X-Men series. And no I'm not asking for recomendations. Just lamenting.

I'm down as well. Started watching the 90's series on Netflix this past weekend and it's fantastic. Evolution was great, Wolverine and the x-men was, and has been, my favorite series to date. Something along that same vein would be ideal for me.

I never bothered to watch that anime series on G4. May pick it up on dvd if I see it for cheap

As long as it has an incredibly kickass and gorgeous Rogue I have no problem with this at all.

It should have the theme of the 90s show.

I would do it as a generational series
season 1 Original First 12 eps classic black and yellow second 12 neal adams run (New costumes,Havok Polaris)
Season 2 New X-men- Ends with phoenix arc
Season 3 Cyclops leaves team Storm Becomes leader
Season 4 Presumed Dead new team (hints of original x-factor)(inferno)
Season 5 Blue and Gold teams.

Nah... I'd want something akin to the 90's series done with modern animation and storytelling?

I say we should all be happy with the 90's series and leave it with that. Evolution got on my nerves and Wolverine and the X-Men wasn't much better. A new series would most likely be a combo of movie and current comic stylings, which is convoluted at best.

And don't get me started on the anime. The only time the Japanese should go anywhere near the X-Men is shit like this:

    X-men Animated (Anime Opening 1) - YouTube

    X-Men Anime OP 2 - YouTube

i really liked the 90's fox animated one and wish there was another like it. The only thing that bugged me was that they would introduce new characters once and that was about it

    Symptom of it's minuscule budget.

If they ever did make a new X-Men cartoon, all I'd want is for Wolverine NOT to be the main central character, as I'm not really that keen on him. By all means have Wolverine in the show, as he is the most iconic member of the team, but don't give him as much focus or attention as Marvel usually does. Instead, I'd rather have something where the focus is on the likes of Jean, Kitty and Angel, like in Evolution. And since I'm one of only nine humans in the galaxy who actually likes Cyclops, I'd love it if he had some focus and development too.

Evolution is a good series if you accept it for what it is.

It's so odd that Marvel can't get a decent Animated Series (X-Men or otherwise) off the ground. I would have thought that now being owned by Disney might have helped, but it doesn't look like it has.

Marvel beats DC at the box office and almost always beats them in actual book sales, but then they don't even come close to DC's animation.

Marvel seems to cancel their good shows prematurely like Spectacular Spider-Man and Avengers EMH.

But I would like to a new X-Men series. Evolution is my favorite, especially the later seasons. I hate that when a show starts getting to mature they cancel it. TAS has not aged well but still good, has a lot of memorable episodes. Wolverine & the X-Men was meh. X-Men anime had a terrible story but I liked the animation.

Count me in as one of those nine. I'd love a series that starts with the first class and then adds the second team from Giant-Sized X-Men like halfway in the season.

Like others have said the 90's series was exceptionally good. A new cartoon set in the same universe as Avengers EMH would be neat, though.

    Yes.

I honestly did not like Wolverine and the X-Men. Mostly because they made Cyclops a whiny wuss and forced Wolverine into the leader role. Plus the lack of Xavier had little ot be desired. Though I liked Emma Frost in the show.

Honestly as long as Jeph Loeb stays away from this. I'll be glad to accept a new show. Really if it wasn't for the bad premise of Wolverine and the X-men. It would have been the best series. The 90's series is good and I grew up with Evolution so I like the series.

I need to see the anime at some point.

    Kinda.

Just Get John DiMaggio to Voice Wolverine (Characterize him as to Marcus Fenix) and use themes from the past Comics & Cartoons.
