I didn't even give it a remote possibility until the news bit about Bumblebee's voice in Exodus. Just on a cosmetic level it makes no sense. WFC clearly look like "G1". But I was thinking about this during my bike commute this morning. WFC takes place early in the war. Everyone still looks youthful, vibrant, and whole. It's not implausible to think that during millions of our Earth years of war, the ones that survive go through massive amounts of damage, repairs, upgrades, and indeed even downgrades. There's only so much material to go around in a time of war. Hence the change from the relatively peaceful boxy look of WFC, to the battle hardened alien skeletal look of the m-verse. I don't deny it's a stretch, but if a single continuity is to be Hasbro's plan, I give them heaping praise for finally bringing some order to such a deeply chaotic property. Light your torches and commence the outrage.
