I mean it's cool and all and It would be nice to have it in my collection but I simply can't afford the price (what is it $500? $600?) it's just simply too expensive for me and I can live without it. how many of you guys feel the same?

Same. Good luck to those who don't mind dropping the $ on it but to me it's slightly too much. If it were 300-400 I would seriously consider...

Well the price is outrageous if you buy it as set. thats why and possibly there marketing strategy is to buy it individually so that the consumers don't feel the burden of spending big buck rather buying it as a whole.
I preordered it, anyway if the material is crappy ill sell it asap. just my 2 cents

Until I see all six in details, will I feel their asking price is justified. Shiets, I'm disturbed at the retail price of Encore Devastor $120- for something outdated nor does it have a lick of die-cast and rubber tires!?

I think, if done well for this Devastator set I'll be willing to pay $300- for the set. I hope they consider a gift set for this?

Yeah I'm definitely not shelling out the dough for this. Definitely not worth it.

It's a hard pill to swallow but I don't think there will be any official alternative anytime soon. Plus, I saved $300 on skipping the Botcon set this year, so that's half of Devs right there. The fact they're releasing each Constructicon individually does make me extremely nervous but paying out $100 with each release rather than $600 is much easier to do.

Looks like it will be a great figure and a highlight of any persons collection who owns one.

So most people are saying "it's cool but too expensive." I'm seemingly in the opposite camp; I could likely afford it if I set aside some money, but I'm not really interested in it

I am still on edge, even though I KNOW I could easily afford it come late summer/fall. I still cannot see myself paying $600 dollars for this guy. I might stick with Encore. I don't own a g1 Devy so 120 bucks does not seem too steep for me.

Encore all the way for me since I want a Devy for nostalgic reasons. I don't want/need an updated one. I do think that the price of not-devy is insane for what you get though. You could buy about 15lbs of heavy metal SoC robot goodness for that price.

Yes, but as with all things Classics, or Pseudo-Classic, the issue is so urgent that there is no time to skip back a few pages, or use the search button.

Hold your breath. I like a cheap laugh.

Zero interest in non-official Has/Tak stuff for me... it's all junk IMHO, regardless of price. So I'm not buying this!
