    THE AUCTION!!!

Transformers Prime First Edition Optimus Prime is already on its way from Niagra Falls to California as I type!

Here is the image straight off of the eBay page:

I am SO EXCITED! Estimated delivery date is between Feb. 9th and Feb. 15th. The seller's page had people saying they got their item in 4 days, so I expect to get mine on the 10th.

Cannot contain happiness so I'll just stop typing now.

EDIT: It was $72.95 (including shipping and handling). I just thought I should add this, since most people do.

    Cool story bro.

How much did you pay? That would determine if this was an out of the ordinary deal or not.

Good show on the soon to be haul, and I think it's cool to see these toys making people happy instead of crazy hah.

Not sure I'd celebrate. $72 for a toy that should have been $20? I'd be grumbling more than celebrating if I bought one for that.

Well, lets put it this way. I wouldn't wanna spend that much, and I probably wouldn't even wanna spend what I'm charging for the ones I nabbed. However at the same time, I've spent tonnes of money on Yugioh, transformers, and my other hobbies, so breaking it down piece by peice isn't always the only way to evaluate things, especially given how little 72 dollars is in the grand scheme of things for people who're financially alright, especially when put up against hobbies in general.

For example, if you spend your hobby money on transformers instead of movies or anything else, then it's your choice to do, and while we can pick at the guy about how we wouldn't have made the same decision or how we found it cheaper, its really his call that matters at the end of the day. Going out to eat pretty much costs at least that, and so does filling up your tank if you drive anything with a remotely large tank. So while I'm not gonna say that it was a "steal" by comparison, I'm not gonna shit on the guy for choosing to spend some of his money for something he enjoys. I've made that mistake in the past, but yeah. If it's not an uncontrolable or harmful obsession, then its all good in my books.

I'm going to laugh so hard when this mold is used again later in the Prime line.

And I mean laugh hard. Harder than the shark.

I spent $59.99 shipped for a FE Prime from overseas today. Way overpriced but not as bad as I've seen on Ebay this past week.

Well I spent on my copy for $59 on Amazon. Yeah I know it's pricey but it was when there's no other way! The same with Bulkhead.

Trust me that's nothing when compaired to what they are selling them at on Amazon!

Amazon is pretty funny, especially when it comes to the computer calculated pricing that's looking to be easier & easier to get outa wack. Funny how it always seems to fuck up by overpricing shit, though...

I agree with you to an extent. If you spend $72 going out to eat, but are eating food from Burger King that should only cost $20, you overpaid. If you spend $72 on gas when the station down the road has it for a lower price so you could've saved $10, then you overpaid. Simple as that. You may be willing to spend more than you should for stuff, and that's fine. Doesn't change the fact you spent more than you should nor does it mean I can't make a post pointing out how you spent more than you should have.

Considering this is the going rate for this toy on eBay, it's not really worth a celebration thread. It's like saying "I bought something for a price anybody could have bought it for". You only celebrate if you got a good deal, not an average deal.

Have to agree this was my first thought on reading the op.

BUT if the OP is happy, then congrats! :)

Maybe you only celebrate when you get a good deal, but the OP is celebrating because they're excited to get a toy that they wanted. Why would you shit on someone's excitement just because you don't think it's a good deal?

To the OP, congrats on your purchase! I hope it brings you much joy! :thumb

    Ebay:
Unless you are buying for multiple people, how the hell can you spend $20 at Burger King!!! That'll get you a TON of food.
