Now I regret not getting them when I had the chance. It's gonna cost me around $120-150 for each figure of the box set. I just want Thundercracker.. and Dirge and Ramjet if possible. How would you go about getting them in the cheapest way possible? Trade? Ebay? Any ideas?

The only solution I had was to custom make my own Thundercracker. It came out pretty awesome but I still would rather have the original.

I'm going to make my own custom too, have a spare Skywarp on the way to paint. But I'm thinking of seeing if anyone would trade for my MISB Alt Swerve when the prices for those get a little more ridiculous as well.

I made my own, too, which I like better than the botcon one.

I just can't justify spending half of the price of the boxset for 1 freaking figure, as much as I love Thundercracker (my fave Seeker of the 3). Looks like either I get someone to do the custom for me or hope that Japanese classics will have the repaint later.

I got Robotmasters TC and SW to go with my Classics SS. They were always less powerful clones of SS, and as such deserve the less complicated/cool mold IMO

I am individual devoid of any sort of artistic talent. Any sort of artwork I produce inevitably appears sloppy and unimpressive.

I still managed to produce a displayable Classics Thundercracker.

The customization process is very simple.

This is a very good alternative. The only flaw with the Robot Masters versions are that the undersides of the arms are unpainted, leaving a patch of black / purple plastic on the backs of the jets. Paint that the right colour and you're good to go.

I'm using a RM Thundercracker with my classics for now, and what bugs me most is his knees don't bend. That and the droopy nose in jet mode. But putting him between and behind Classics SS and SW, he doesn't look bad. At least not from a distance.
Still want a proper one though. Hope my mod turns out o.k.

I finally ended up picking up a Games of Deception box set for about $630 shipped. A bit more than I wanted to pay for it, but still not bad, when compared to some ebay prices.

For those prices, why not get a complete set of MP Seekers?

It still amazes me! I got ganged up on & mercilessly flamed right off the Allspark.com boards because I complained about Botcon exclusives (mainly Thundercracker). But now I'm looking at all the trouble this has caused for a lot of fans (including myself) that couldn't attend the show or can't afford the ludicrous prices the set is going for on Ebay.

When I complained about Hasbro & FP making TC a Botcon exclusive & screwing over tons of fans I was totally wrong. :(

Like I keep saying, Bug Bite was a good choice for a Botcon exclusive, it's a nice bonus for those attending but nobody really cares about Bug-Bite. Thundercracker, Thrust & Dirge were just plain wrong! What fan isn't going to want Thundercracker to go with their Skywarp & Starscream? It was just a stupid stupid choice! All my friends & I still can't believe Hasbro & FP actually did that.

Totally agree with you there. TC & the Seekers should never be a Botcon exclusives in the first place. The demand for these TFs is so unbelievable that you really can't find a good deal for them anywhere. Sigh.

I care about Bug Bite. I think he is a fantastic character with loads of story potential, what is regrettable is that he died so quickly. A great story would be Bug Bite trying to gather others of his kind, those sympathetic to his cause, and those who want the Transformers gone to form an army to wage a war on Primus' children.

    I wouldn't want characters I don't care about in a Botcon set. That's why I wasn't very pleased with the 2005 ones.

Allspark.com is notorious for violently flaming you for stating your opinion (in this case, a justified one), and the mods don't do sh** about it. I went through and manually deleted all of my posts, and haven't been back since.

I don't. Not everyone is enamoured with the seekers.
