    My god. He has several time more anime that I do. I have a friend down the street that has a larger collection than I do but this beats his hands down.

    In this day and age you don't have to be rich to have an impressive anime collection. A decent internet connection and storage(DVD-R/Ws, HDD etc) and time is all you need.

    I was going to call that borderline insane, but then I remembered how many toy robots I own. Still, I have to wonder if the guy has actually watched all of those.

    True, but a physical collection just looks more impressive. That being said, I haven't bought an actual CD for music in years, so I guess I don't really care too much.

    I always wonder what people like this person do for a living to be able to afford an impressive collection.

    I dunno, I don't get off on looking at DVD packaging or having to buy shelves to hold them all. CD wallets and external HDDs take up so much less space.
