Currently, it doesn't seem that way as he seems to doing fine and is still on board to dirext X-Men: Apocalypse.

I rather see Singer continue with the X-Men series than have him take on Transformers. IMO, that series suits him more .

Maybe, I admit I didn't know about it till this thread and then looked it up. I guess if they can keep it relatively quiet, maybe it will actually just blow over.

Though usually, more often then not, this sort of thing tends to build, and from what I ended up reading, this whole thing seems bigger then Singer. So he'd better hope he can prove he has nothing to do with it.

Oh god no, the last thing TF needs is another director who can't make a compelling female character to save his life.

Does anybody agree with me that Steven Spielberg or Christopher Nolan should direct Transformers?

Well, Nolan uses as little CG as possible doing all sorts of thing practically that just about no one else wood. He's an insanely great director, but because of this he'd be a terrible match for Transformers.

Lot of responses, both positive and negative. THE reason I want Singer is that he managed to flesh out many of the X-men characters, that they are the main focus in the movie, not humans like in Transformers. Even though Blink, Bishop and Warpath died pretty quick, the x-men flesh out or not were the MAIN characters. People say that Ehren Kruger have the liberty to make characters out of the Transformers. I don't think so. I believe Bay is calling the final shoots. Maybe Kruger had lots of idea how robots would be, like Orci and Kurtzman but Bay don't. I think Kurtzman and Orci really wanted to flesh out characters like Starscream and Megatron bickering like in G1, but Bay denied them and inserted bad jokes like the lubricated scenes on Simmons. That's my opinion.Even though, I'm very looking forward to AOE, but I don't believe Bay suddenly gonna start any evolution with this. I wouldn't be surprised if Lockdown meets the Shockwave fate....

i don't need to read any further than that.. the X men ARE HUMANS.. they don't cost a ton of money to have on screen.

i would LOVE for this movie to be made like the tv shows we've gotten.. with the transformers being the main part and the humans as the sidekicks.. but that's not how it works with these movies. it's just not.

and like others have pointed out.. michael bay isn't the writer.

I agree Gareth Edwards would be a great director for Transformers as he really stayed faithful to the source material as proved by Godzilla. Unfortunately, he's busy working on the Star Wars spin-off film and the newly announced Godzilla sequel.

Well let's see, was anyone else going to attempt to make the Transformers live action besides Bay? As far as I'm concerned, no, he was the one that took the challenge and I commend him for it. The movies may not be perfect but they are entertaining and I like them. Keep Bay and let's see where he goes with AoE.

Some people seem to think all gay people are paedophiles. It's why some people hate the idea of gay couples adpoting a kid.

Which is, of course, stupid. Gay parents are awesome. I wish my mother and father had been totally gay for each other.

But this is probably not the forum for discussing that.
