I love big cats, but those look to tame for me. As a kid we had about 6 cats that were half bobcat and half taby. Those were some mean sons of bitches. They even hunt togeather. True story, I woke up one morning and found my best friends dog lying on it's side with my cats around it. When I got closer I saw that they were eating it. I had to take it to the road and tell him a car hit it. I didn't have the heart to tell him my kitties ate his doberman.
That'd be the bobcat in them. Bobcats aren't very big as far as wild cats go, but they'll tear the shit out of anything they can get their paws on. Meanest cat per-pound I've ever run across, and I've run across a lot of cats.
^^wow, that's just, wow. on a side note, it's kinda sad how fat some of these cats are. yes, maine coons can get big, but there's a difference, just as in people, between big and obese. I think it's a result of people overfeeding their indoor cats. my 20 pounder was all muscle, and you could prove it by fighting with you. once he clamped on you couldn't get him off. now I've got a 6 pounder that's full grown, and you'd swear she's anorexic, but thankfully she's fluffy so you can't tell how skinny she is. fast as hell, and the vet says it's one of the only indoor cats she's seen that isn't obese.
I ran a cat over 2 weeks ago. It was the saddest thing ever. The damn cat ran across the street...stopped at the double yellow lines and turned around and ran back. I had no time to stop and I hit it. The scream that poor cat made haunts me to this day.
I don't know about cats, but I can tell you ferrets sure don't like that. They'll do whatever they can to stop you.
He looks more like a Turkish Van. We have a Turkish Van. Very sweet cat, very needy, and can jump like Michael Jordan.
Just to be clear, that has nothing to do with being a Maine Coon. That has to do with being fat. I've got a MC, or at least a MC-mix, and he's about 16 lbs and in decent shape (thanks to the agressive and perpetually starving kitten we got a year ago). MC's have great personalities - tend to want to be near people (unlike most cats), and comically clumsy (unlike most cats).
My wife just called from PetSmart--we lost our cat recently (Crimmus freakin' Eve, of all days), and she's been waiting to get a new one. We've now got an application in to adopt a Maine Coon. Pics will be posted.
This is my largest cat his paws are HUGE Meatball....in a pan! KittyKitty baddest cat on the planet Scaredy Cat, called such because when he was a kitten you couldnt find him he was always hiding... things have changed. How many cats do you think you see in this picture, whatever number you get add 3 more lol.
Thas a lotta cats. I have three myself. Cog is my oldest. She's about 18 and is about as average as a plain long-haired Black and White cat can be. She's accepted her old age and has become a great lapcat. Akane, my short-haired B&W, is gonna be 5 this April fools day. She's my nasty one of the three. The runt of her litter, she's about as mean and self centered as they come. I keep her cause I like to fight with her from time to time, and I know how to calm her down when I need to. Then I just got my third cat. His name is Chance. A big 18 pound grey tabby. He's not really fat per say, but because the previous owner fed him dog food, he has alot of meat on his bones. He's a very mellow cat (mostly due to all of the second hand smoke from all the weed his last owner smoked) He can take all of the crap Akane dishes out and just sits there and looks at her without reacting. (which drives her even more nuts)
